My new 88 Xtracab

Hello everyone! I had a thread a couple months ago about questions on an 87 4runner turbo, anyway i decided against that vehicle when i came across this Gem. It is a 1988 Toyota XtraCab Deluxe, 4x4, 5spd. Purchased it with 117k miles. Bone stock down to the cassette deck. There is very little rust on it considering the area its in (North Dakota). Previous owner used it primarily for hunting so it didn't get many miles put on. He also installed an electric winch in the bed to aid him loading deer, he was an older gentleman.

Here it is when i bought it:

The one thing i absolutely needed to do was get different tires and wheels as i will be using it for hunting also, and our winter driving can get quite nasty. With the stock wheels i didn't notice how much sag it had in the rear, but after putting bigger tires on and filling the wheel well it became pretty obvious.

Searched this forum and ran across the zuk mod. I saw it was primarily for the 4runners but looked like it would be just what i needed. Fixed it right up and now i am way happier in the way it looks!

Wheel specs:
15"x8" Steelies
31x10.5x15 toyo open country m/t

Springs for zuk mod, Black magic springs(ebay) 4" diameter, 13" tall and 125lb spring rate.

Thats about all id like to do for now, possibly do a sr5 gauge swap and maybe just some maintenance items but this thing is pretty clean for its age and location!

Thanks for looking!
