Ok guys pic on the way... I did not get the chance to be as detailed as most of the builds i've seen on the site. Nor did i get to paint everything i wanted too. I ran into lots of issues but it's almost done.

So I ended up gasket porting the intake, and cleaning the whole thing plentium and all perfect. New parts include - Complete engbldr rebuild kit 0.020 over - 268 Cam - Clutch - New Injectors - Electric Fan - *no header yet - Mods so far - Ported intake - Battery switched to D side - MAF adapter with 3" filter+ switched to P side to shorten flow.

you know, before I did my rebuild, I didn't see too much red on a 22re, aside from the valve cover LCE offers...

now, it's like I started a trend

look'n good man, good job so far!

Ya bleeder but my truck is red, so it fits nice with the black... So i ran it my first 90 miles after re torquing everything. I screwed up a few things like using an oil pan gasket with rvt, when should have just used rvt now i got a leak..... I found another leak where the metal heat hose goes into the the bottom of the intake!! I tried putting rvt on the O ring and on the bolts... We'll see if that works. Anyone one know if you can pull the oil pan without disconnecting the motor mounts? So mad at myself... lol...

Tell you what though.. The battery swap to the other side makes a world of difference in that the air to the throttle body is shorter and bigger. I fabed up the bracket to hold the mafs and the filter. Was a quicky job with some 3" exhaust pipe and a scrap piece of steal. I wish i had more time to get more pics and detail of what i did, but i spent 5 days in the hospital with my 3rd collapsed lung.... Went right back to it once i got out though! Here's some more pics i'll try to put up a video of how it sounds. O ya this is bad i think and need some help i got a left over bracket can't figure out where it goes it is shaped like a y..... It's weird cause everything is tight can't figure it out. There are no pics in the book or the book online.. Any help?

I need to find some stainless tubing and fab the air intake pipe..

Not sure if i should have put the filter on the throttle body or blocked it off anyone know? That plastic hose is ugly need to get something else, but that is not my final design just something for now. Please comment

Got my first 200 miles on the motor...... It's running good. It might just be me but it seems to dog from 1k till like 2.5k then it starts to pull harder. I'm not sure it should be lagging as much as it is. I check all my vacuum lines and the timing. Might be an intake leak not sure. Anyone know how to check for an intake leak? thanks guys

Went to a few junkyards today... One i found a Supra MAFS and the guy wouldn't sell it to me........ I don't understand but whatever! I did find some NGK spark plug wires for 5$ brand new. They had the wrong connections for my cap so i took the ones of my stock wires. Taking the wires apart and seeing the difference made me appreciate the find even more.

That's a damn fine job cleaning up the engine bay and painting all the suspension, frame etc...

My 92 extra cab is going to get the same treatment when I get the time
