I spent the day at Dbcfr's place trying out the new JD2 bender. I felt like I needed a refresher course on the math and bending procedures, since I'm a little out of practice. In the end, the bends came out great. We're building an exo and flatbed for his Pickup, then I'll get some material to build a new rear bumper, custom sliders, and possibly add some grille protection to my front bumper. Also, we'll be building some bumpers, sliders, IFS braces, and whatever else for sale.

sounds good looking forward to the build pix
so i balanced my wheels with stick weights and added like 2 oz to each tire just to be safe. so far my tires are pretty balanced all the way to 75mph. im sure if i had new tires, just bb will be perfect

I did the final break in oil change today. The motor has 2k miles now, and is running great. No leaks anywhere, and I'm getting good MPG's. Otherwise, not much new to report.
I've been busy with work, as well as working on Dbcfr's truck when I have time. His truck is close to being finished, so I should be able to do some tube work on the 4Runner soon.

Thanks, Mark. I'm extremely pleased with the new motor, thus far. It's definitely worth the extra time and money for the performance gains, and the durability of a 22RE.
Well, I finally got a new (used) set of front fenders. I had one from the 4Runner I'm parting, and found another one locally this weekend. So, on to this years' paint scheme. The fenders fit very well, with only a couple minor tweaks. I started with the base color today, which is the same Rustoleum OD green, and I'll be adding the second color in a couple weeks. Pics...
Driver side with the fender replaced. This fender had some factory SR5 graphics, so those were removed before the primer went on...

Passenger side in white primer. It came this way...

After a couple coats of Rustoleum Dark Forest Green...

I've never liked the way the old fenders were cut, so I'm very happy to have finally replaced them.

I went wheeling a couple weeks ago, at Chepo Saddle, which is about a 10 minute drive from home. I've been so busy lately that I seem to have forgotten the trails are so close and convenient. It was great to get the 4Runner in the dirt again. A few pics...

Today I got a new/used heater bezel installed that I found on the classifieds over on Marlin Crawlers' forum (sorry Chef).
Out with the old...

In with the new...

Also, I got some 285/75-16 BFG A/T KO's with about 80% tread left, from conigirl's wrecked 4Runner, but one wheel was ruined. I shopped around a bit for wheels, and decided to buy a new set, and keep the other three for a future trailer build...

And, these are the wheels I ordered today. Raceline Renegade 6 in black...

OOOOoh, nailbiting time! lol.
Great videos... not sure why I missed em. Sounds good. My stupid camera clips out if I have the window down or too much header 'WAHHHHHH', lol. I need to do another one, .....I'm at right around 3,000 miles, now, and 2K from possibly switching to Syn. We'll see.
Hope you love the rims, man!

The new wheels are here! My wife is currently using one as an ottoman. She approves.

I'll be installing them next Wednesday. No weights on these wheels, since I'll be using the airsoft bb's that never made it into my old tires.
