I have 2 trucks I am working on
1 1995 4 runner bought it for the engine to replace in my truck
1 1995 pickup 300,006 miles broke the crank
both have the 3vze engine

Hi all first I would like to say Thank you All fro the help in advance for this issue I have searched to find an answer with no results


Here is my problem the pickup broke the crank was on the HY so had to drive it 27 miles to the next off ramp where I got to stay for 4 days waiting for help to come get me got to where I could work on her and found the crank broke at the # 5-6 and cracked the block
after some searching I got a 1995 4 runner with a locked up rebuild engine but when I got inside the oil pan I found the Main barring cradle was broken looks like #6 rod froze and was driven a ways broke this rod off taking out #5 rod about half way down giving it just enough room to spun around braking the main bearing cradles my ? can I take the good cradle out of the bad block and use it in the good block or do I need to get another engine to rebuild ? the one from the 4 runner was rebuilt the one in the pick up I did 7 years ago sorry was so long

 

Nope; go get another engine. these engines are not worth the cost of line boring, assuming its even close enough.

 

Thank You skypiolet was afraid of that will look for another builder after I get done with the one I am working on (1991 3vze) just to get something running
