I used that same pipe bender once to complete my bed roll bar, and ended up returning it. I don't have the patience to use the sand method lol.

Keep up the good work on the bumper.

You ain't kidding about time. Time seems to be getting more and more scarce these days. Trust me I'm gonna keep trying to get a hold of the guy. I really want to do a d44 and 9" rear.

Well just bit the bullet and ordered some new shocks. Seeing as the shock on the drivers side decided to leak all it's oil out and rides stupidly hard on that side now. Sounds like something is loose but nothing is. I ordered some skyjacker hydro shocks for 144 from 4wheelparts. They have a deal where you get a 55 dollar rebate on them. Price was the main factor in why I ordered these.

That's a good deal for those shocks. I have never owned them but I would imagine that they are comparable to the procomp es9000's. Had plenty of those and they worked pretty good

Well finished my bumper and it's on now. Will post pics later. Also my shocks came with the wrong size bushings and metal sleeves for the fronts so I had to improvise by spreading the metal sleeve to take a slightly smaller bolt than stock. Was in a bind and had to make it work.

I think my favorite part of this thread is the random wrench you found.

I wonder if they used it as a sorta shim to keep the strapping tight?

Maybe it was a good luck charm and you should put it back.

Idk. I would love to meet the person that put it there so I could ask them why? Lol.

I'm starting to wonder that. Cause yesterday afternoon I took my hid headlights out and put my halogen lights in for inspection (don't have the right harness for the hid highs to work). Well found out only one of my halogen lights has a working high beam, and because it's in a series setup with highs neither would work if one doesn't work. Well fast forward to tonight. Went for a drive up to the grocery store and the one that the high beam quit working in blew. Then after I get to the store I start wondering if since the one with the bad high quit all together I wonder if the other high would work now. Well.... As soon as I flicked the switch the other light blew. Guess I'll be putting the hid lights back in and getting the right harness from the retrofitsource.com. harness is $35. Headlights are $35 each.

So. I haven't posted on here in a while. Lost my job, job hunted for a month. Started a new job on Monday. On my way to work my rear end decided to mess up. Got it torn apart last night and the pinion and ring gear are shot. So hoped on the internet and did some calculating rebuilding the carrier and decided to just buy a new one. So hoped on craigslist and found a guy selling a rear axle. But he is selling a solid front with it for 275! ˟ So basically getting the rear for free since that's what a front axle usually goes for around here.˟

Ooof, welcome to the club on blowing diffs up

$275 for front and rear axles is a decent price, i paid $300 for a stock 85' front axle by itself.

Ya. I wish I would have been doing something fun instead of driving to work when it happened.

That's why I'm jumping on the deal for the axles instead of rebuilding mine. It would cost the same anyways. Seems like ppl want a lot for just the front axles.

So got the center chunk swapped into my truck. Went for a Lil drive and discovered that now I can't down shift to second or first. To get into second gear I have to be going less than 10mph and for first it has to be a dead stop, with me bringing the clutch pedal to the point of engagement while pushing up on the shifter.

Any ideas on what could be going on? I'm thinking the slave cylinder may be bad. The master cylinder is new.

Good deal on the axles!

There is an adjustment on the back of the clutch pedal, might be able to get a little more throw out of it..

By not getting into 2 & 4 gear, do you mean the shifter won't release from it's current gear and go into those gears? Or do you mean you try finding it, but it won't hold?
