I think you need 1.5" bj spacers in front and a mild lift in back and your stance would be better with your new tires.

Thanks!! Ya it needs a lil bit of a lift and it'll look better with these tires. Thats comeing in the near future hopefully. Well I went to try and adjust the t bars and I have a question. How much of the bolt threads should be showing for a stock yota and a yota with them cranked all the way up? Cause my bolt had a lot of threads sticking out the nut. Prolly 2-3" worth. Also gonna be building a bumper hopefully soon so I won't have to worry bout that air dam.

You'd need to check the book for the stock height, it's measured at the center of the lower control arm and the forward spring mount, IIRC. It should be .25 inchs higher at the rear measurement.

Your current stance looks just about perfect in the picture, I wouldn't change it untill you're ready to lift the rear end also. Or it'll have that butt draging I'm accelerating standing still look.

Not sure on the bolt length with the factory adjustments, or actually even how long those bolts are. Sorry.. It's the "proper" thing todo to have a spare set on hand in case you break them they're about 20$ for the pair from the dealer.

Of course it should go without saying but make sure you keep clear of those if they snap they come out really fast

I have some home made rear shackles that have another adjustment to raise the rear some so when I do the bj lift I'll go to the next set of holes so it'll be higher in the rear again.

According to the write up the nut shouldn't move and they should be easy to spin. The nut moved when I tried and the bolt was hard as could be to spin.

Haven't started working on my bumper yet but did end up having to take my stock bumper off recently cause the corner of it cought my tire and the tire pulled it down, also found out that my torsion bar bolts are messed up so I gotta replace them so I can adjust the height so I can get my camber back straight.

So I priced parts to rebuild my hubs and change out those torsion bar bolts and nuts, let me know if you see something for the hubs missing.

Can't wait to get this truck mechanically straight! It's getting there slowly but surley.

Also my idle stays real high when I come to a stop, but when I put my foot around the backside of the gas pedal and pull it towards me the idle will drop. Anyone got any ideas?

Also found out my ex manifold has a really big in it. Gonna get me a pace setter header to replace it and do away with the cat and old muffler and put my single chamber flow master on it that has a 2.5 inlet and out let. Hopefully it sounds good when I do put it on.

Also if anyone has an answer to my idle question at the bottom of the post above recomendations on fixing very appreciated! Thx.

Well I haven't been working on the yota too much lately. Did buy a cold start injector sensor and the middle air pipe that goes to the drivers side dash air vent (the piece that goes under the steering column. I'm prolly gonna order the boots and nuts to fix my relaxed tbars.

Bumper? No. Been to busy working and going to night school since Christmas to start on it. Going to do that soon though.

Torsion bar parts. No. Didn't even know they came in till I went over to my dad's. Going to do them later this week. Went over there for my lil boy to play on his power wheels truck and his playhouses and other various toys.

Will update on bolts when I start on that later this week and ill prolly start the bumper this weekend.

Very nice truck, you've really turned it around from a bit of a hooptie to a clean little minitruck. great work.
Did you ever find the solution to your idle issue? I just had the same sort of thing crop up. Possible culprits include, in order of probability, worn-ass throttle return spring, a dirty throttle body, malfunctioning dash pot, frayed throttle cable (even if it doesn't look bad) or excessive play in the throttle body's flapper door thing causing it not to close all the way. also vacuum leaks. i adjusted my idle correctly and fixed it pretty easy.
I'm staying tuned for the bumpers. Also, I've wondered the same thing about returning t bars to stock settings. post up what you find out with the new adjusting hardware installed, please.

Thx!.Ya the truck is a lot better off now than it was. Well if I pull back on the throttle pedal with my foot the idle will go down. So I was thinking bout checking how tight I have the cable. I was trying to crank my tbars up. Will see what happens.

Well worked on the yota today. Changed the oil, rotated tires, and change the torsion bar bolts. Which I will say if your bolts won't turn seperate from the nut no matter how much you soak it and everything. Save your self some trouble and just get a torch out or something to cut the bolts.

Bolts after I got them out. One broke the other of course is cut.
Cut bolt measures 1" sticking out the nut, the broke one was 1 1/4". I set both if the new ones to 1 9/16".

Mounted my winch plate yesterday and stuck one of the 20ft sticks of funding up on it and started taking measurements.

So my mass air sensor or volume air sensor (what ever you want to call it) went out so I was stuck (midnight on my way home from work after 16ing out) driving home in 3rd gear at 45mph at 3k cause I couodnt get it to go faster. So I'm waiting on the new sensor and I got a bunch of money for my birthday so I ordered my pace setter header to replace my cracked manifold. So hopefully both of those will be in soon. Also things to do on my agenda for the truck this month cause I failed inspection cause of them. Which is bumper, high beams (have never worked), corner parking light. So those things will be getting done as well.

good luck with the bumper and VAFM.. Is it just me or is your frame bent at the passenger side mount?? when you mounted that pipe on there it really makes it looks bad... just wondering
