It has 4.56s, but the 4.88s should help alot. And it's bout to turn cold for the fall/winter so I'll be running the heat. I just needa get better gas mileage before hunting season comes in heavy.

I been thinking bout selling my 32 11.50s and buying some 33 10.50s but I need to save up 300$ more do you think that will be better?

What kind of gas mileage did you get on your black truck with 5.29s? That was on 35s right?

5.29s with 35"S. I'm not real sure as my odo did not work but guessing with google i was getting about 13 city and 16-18 hwy and interstate. It could haul 70 in 5th so it did pretty good. Course i couldn't do 70 uphill... or 5th at all =p
Yeah i need to get mine ready to hit the woods real soon. This is my money season. And heat doesn't take power.

I like lifted, but my trucks have to work on the farm and the hunt preserve. 35"s were definitely sweet for wheeling, but have you ever tried heaving 100lb bales up into a truck bed that sits about 42" high? Then stacking them 3 or 4 deep? Doesn't really work. Oh and getting something out of the middle of the toolbox
Plus it was missing shocks and shock mounts in the back, the inside was shot, and i figured it would be cheaper to start over and do it right. And i lucked out on the cherry pickup i found.
But if you want to wheel it like crazy and get some street cred (or chicks) i say go for it.

You were smart for that. Can't take ˟˟˟˟ and make apple butter.
I'm trying to pick up another 88 from a family friend and make it a wheeling rig, but if that doesn't work I'm lifting the 94. 4 inches. Relax the torsion bars and running 34-35s but then I'll need 5.29s.

Lol, no you can't.
4" was just right on mine. If you lift it make sure and get a diff drop bracket, i had one and it kept my cvs at a pretty good angle, i hate to think what they would have been like without it. Good luck on the 88.

My dad owned it when I was a little kid. And sold it to a friend and three years ago the fuse box melted so its been sitting. That seems like a sas in my book. If I can get it for under 500$

Past few days been crazy. Working school and trying to find my neighbor a nice toyota. It's crazy how many trucks he went to look at and they were junk. He's getting discouraged but he will find one and I'll help him build it. He's almost 60 by the way. But once he gets one ill post some pics of it.

I love yota shopping, but there is a ton of junk out there, talked to about 20 sellers and looked at about 7 trucks before i found mine. But i'm soo glad i waited. But don't let it distract you from school, the yotas have already stood the test of time, they will still be here when you graduate.

So I think we found him a trick. 1991 regular cab, long bed, v6 auto, 178xxx . Little rough, needs motor but we can get it cheap. But we would be running same motor and trans so that'll be nice. Isn't a extra cab and long bed same frame?

I think so. Not real sure, mounts might be in slightly different points, but you can fix that. Have fun, and post plenty of pics.

One of my hunting buddy's is trying to buy my truck, if he offers me enough she will be sold. Then on to the next one, i really don't care either way. I kinda miss the 5 speed and 4 cyl is alot nicer for what I do.

I feel ya there man. The 22re is a lot kinder on the wallet. And nothing beats a 5spd. But make sure to get a good deal out of him, don't let him low ball you just cause he is a buddy. Make sure you can replace it.
I look forward to seeing what you get.

I haven't been posting for a while, the guy never came with the money so I still have the truck. I been looking on Craigslist more than ever and I can't find anything worth my while so i decided to keep my ole 94. So soon as my brothers mustangs out the garage (guys gonna come pick it up the week) I'm going to put it in there. Taking the bed off. I'm gonna rebuild the leaf packs cause they're saggy and I haul a lot. I'm gonna sell my 32s and buy some 33 10.50s , get a new exhaust, put the 4.88s in and just get it ready for November. Anything else I should do while I have the bed off?

i'd replace the fuel pump and lines, just to save the hassle down the road. And maybe take a flap wheel and some por-15 to the frame and bed underside while its easily accessible.
Make sure and document your leaf rebuild, i may have to go that way this fall. I really want to go new springs/ new springs and air springs, but my cashflow aint so great right now.
Definitely get those 4.88s in before the 33s, or alternately send em my way, i'l take good care of them till you need them =p

Well at my dads shop they were doing a frame swap on a 2004 Tacoma and he bought new springs so I took the old ones, they're different lengths but I could use the main leaf out of mine and cut the other ones to make them fit

That sounds like a plan. I wish i could find a set to rebuild out of the truck so i have minimal down time. Plus used is always cheaper than new.

Some people have all the luck. I am stuck in a toyota yard free zone, and everyone who has anything toyota sells it at like 300% value.
