Well i finally got the truck up and running. I got to drove it probably a full mile tonight.
It still needs brake work though, but they were slowly starting to grab. I think they may work themselves in.
I am going to have to buy a fuel pump too. But in the mean time i just hot wired a electric fuel pump to move it around the yard and mess around on.
I even got it stuck on purpose and the 4wd worked great. That's the very first time i've ever actually had to get out and lock hubs. It really put a smile on my face!
Hopefully i can come across some tires that will actually hold air sometime soon.
Here is some pics i took of the carb...

Will get some more pics tomorrow when the sun's out.

Glad to see you got it running. I have seen newer beds on these trucks and apparently they will bolt up. Body lines don't match to well in my opinion. About the brake lines, there is all kinds of gunk in them and if you disassemble the brake calipers, there is a lot of gunk behind the pistons as well. They get nastyyyy.

Okay thanks for the heads up. What should I do to clean them out if that's even possible? And I really want a bed instead of a flat bed. I'm not in to tying down everything I throw in the back lol

here look through this thread, ( i know theres a few pages of boring flats.. but) you should find a few of them with low sides added and they look pretty good.

Thanks for the link.
I'm having trouble getting fuel. I can hook an electric pump and the truck will run awesome but when I take it off to run the mechanical one the truck will die out after running out of fuel in the line. Why is it doing this???

What I do for the brake lines is disconnect them at the Master Cylinder and at the slave cylinders. Then I take low pressure air and blow from the MC to the slave cylinders to get a lot of gunk out. After that I spray some PB Blaster into the lines and let soak a few days and then blow them out again.
Might try the same principal on your fuel tank lines. Usually the Return line can clog full of rust and junk. The fuel tank and supply line can get a lot of rust in them. Originally your truck had a mechanical fuel pump on the passenger side of the motor on the very front. I would take it back to mechanical pump if it was me. Also you have and external fuel filter just outside the fuel tank. It may be clogged up and the electrical pump is able to push fuel thru it if I was guessing.
These tanks can get nasty and I clean mine out with white vinegar by letting them soak a few days and then vacuum out the dust and seal the tank with Red Kote.

Well I cleaned out the gas tank and it has a new filter on it. I mean I can still see the color of the filter but could the problem be that that fuel return to clogged up and it's messing with the the mechanical fuel pump? Cuz i do wanna run the mechanical one it.

Well today i got the fuel problem fixed. It was the return line that was clogged up, i shot some carb cleaner along with compressed air and it did the trick.
Also worked a little on cleaning out the brake lines. Nasty nasty stuff.
