The motor has been put in and almost all the way installed. I'm still needing a manifold gasket, carb, coolant, a battery, and i have to check on the ignition coil. I plan on getting a weber for this rig. I've done blocked off most of what vacuum ports i can for the weber And the coil isn't getting spark. Probably cuz it was a junk yard find. But i plan on having it running in the next two weeks. Here's where i've left off.
This makes for a lot easier build with a motor all together to cheat off of.
Can someone please tell me what this plug goes to, my 2wd doesn't have it and it's gonna worry me to death!
And i painted the manifold to make it look pretty.

Today we was able to get a little bit done.
Put in the front parking lights
My dad helped me with the install of the manifold gasket
I'm still having a problem with the radio not turning on or the fan blower. I checked all the fuses and they are all still in good shape. The cab electrics did come on only when i turned the headlights on, but today i went to take off the ground for the radio and fan blower to sand down for a good ground and now nothing is coming on, can anyone tell me what's going on here. Please help!!

Did you bleed the clutch properly? After you replaced the slave cylinder. What did you have on bed with electrics that was frustrating? Cause I'm in the middle of taking my bed off to put a flat bed on

Today i pulled the gas tank and there were lots and lots of nastiness inside. I was hoping i could slap on a few fuel filters and run gas through it, but that's not gonna work. I put some river rocks in it and shook it around a bit. That got most of the bigger chunks out. I'll probably get some vinegar in it and let it set for a day or so to soak up.
I also put new 80w-90 gear oil in both the diffs and transfer case. I'll get the tranny next weekend.
And all the sudden the coil started shooting spark so i was able to spray starting fluid in the intake and hear it crank for like a millisecond. But it was enough to make me happy.

Today i was able to put back on the fuel tank. I'm still gonna have to run a few fuel filters on it just to get all the small partials out. I really didn't feel like spending a couple hundred for a new one. Still working on trying to unclog the sending hose. It's all clogged up with mess. I'll prob try to shoot some carb cleaner in it along with some air. Hopefully my weber will be here later this week. I'm ready to see this thing running!!

Was able to unclog all the fuel lines, and i put the bench seat back in for now. The carb is supposed to be in Thursday. So hopefully i'll be able to fire up the truck then. Maybe even drive it around the yard a bit.

Anyone know where or how I can fix the horn pin? Mine is worn down a bit. Also when I turn on the head lights it seems like the left is on brights and the left is on dim. And vise versa for when I turn on the brights. Any suggestions?

Just going thru your thread. As far as the horn pin, I use a spent .22 rifle shell to fill the gap. On the fuel tank, I soak with vinegar and coat it with Red Kote. The fuel systems get so nasty in these that I go thru it with each build I do. Any of the builds I have listed below should have some information on it on the first page or so. Check your Return lines as well. I fill them with PB Blaster or Marvel Mystery Oil and let soak a few days as well to get them cleared.
The fuse box under the hood has two fuses. One for each headlight. Probably a blown fuse. Also move the ground that is next to the fuse box directly to the negative post of the battery to inner fender for a more solid ground.
Want to hear about the Brake Lines, lol??? They get bad too.
That plug you are holding, it may be to the AC and it connects to the harness by the battery if I am correct on that.
