Ended up staying the night with my freinds that are camping last night so didnt get the body off untill this morning

Just have to set up all the tank and tranny on the new frame then push it under and drop the body down, might have that done by tonight

Well it pissed down rain today, I switched a few things over to the frame but decided to just stay under cover and tore into my engine for the rebuild. Kinda slow going, labeling and ziplock bagging everything so it goes together nicely

Current status:

I sinch strapped the old springs and axle to the back so it was rollable, my 63" chevy leafs are at school cuz im stilling waiting for bushings, and im just gona pick the front up with the cherry picker to roll it in because I dont have my sfa at my new house yet its at my parents still. So once i get it under ill block it all up and drop the body down. That will definately be done tommorow, more pics to come.

Baja claws are pretty poopy Ill have to admit, the only reason I got them is because I got a unreal deal on them and they were radials and I wanted something that would last a while. Ive beet them for like 3 years now and they still look brand new, deeper tread than than my brand new tsls. They also preform well at low psi. Traction is ok, they are like shovels in reverse, from my experience they suck and just dig down. I do have a freind that grooved the lugs on his and they seemed to preform alot better so im gona do that before I run them on my 4runner again. They ride nice on the road at about 25 psi though, not too much road noise either. Id give them a 7.5/10 . They dont compare to like swampers though.

Well she is sitting comfy on her new skeleton

Ill be able to mount my rear axle tommorow night after school,im going to press the new bushing in tommorow. The fronts will probably have to wait untill next weekend so I can drive to my parents and get my front axle. The dual cases are being put on hold untill i save up bit more so i can put the tg 4.73 gears in one case while i have them apart. So from here i just have to bolt everything up, finish my engine rebuild and then ill get some action shots. Oh and shorten the rear D shaft and lengthen the front.

Its a decent sized job but its not really that bad. If you have the right tools and space anyone can do it. Most people are just intimidated by it so they dont even try Thats why u should just get an old beater like mine and start wrenching, thats the only way u get the know how.

Havnt updated in a while. I have no pics since Ive lost my memory card for my camera and its flipping expensive for a new one. So ill just have to find it soon. My 4runner is now sitting on the front and rear axles. The shackle angles are all great. But my rear chevy springs are sitting way lower than my front springs so ive started making a franken pack to even it out. D-shaft and steering is all hooked up too in the front. I just baught a ceramic coated header for my 22re wich is done and ready to drop in. I havnt done my tranny swap yet though since im hunting for a good donor truck so thats pretty much the only thing holding me back. Pics to come soon....I hope.

Well I convinced my neibor to come take a few pics for me. This is what she has sent so far. I got another sa so im switching my from the other to this one, because it has the full length truss on the bottom.

I had the rear all set up, but how the front sits im gona have to tear the stock pack apart and add some leafs to get a few more inches of lift.

More pics coming later tonight hopefully.

Well these leaf springs are really soft as you probably know and are prone to alot of axle wrap. Ive seen a spring perch rip off the axle leaving a big hole in the housing cuz of bad axle wrap and lift blocks. And with low gearing/torque axle wrap is gona happen and i rather keep it to a minimum. Plus i wouldnt mind stiffening up these springs a little.
