Just removed the Plenum....

91 3.0 sr5 pickup

so I had to replace my main fuel tube that ties into the right fuel rail.

so yesterday I ripped off my Plenum, what a PIA that was. but anyway when I got down there I realized that my left valve cover was leaking, so im going to fix that, clean out my throttle body and intake, but anyway,

idk if my headgasket has every been changed, Im going to call a dealer this week, but do you guys think that since im going to do valve gaskets I shuld just go ahead and keep going and do the Head gasket, its not leaking its fine, but id really hate to put this all together and have it blow in 10k

also while im in there, is there anything else I should take and clean or whatnot.

Thanks again yota Tech

I wouldn't replace the head gaskets unless they pop! Also check all the valve clearances while the vc's are off. 3.0's love to burn valves.

im also chaning my timing belt, I don't the cover off yet. the right lower radiator bolt is proving rather difficult to get with most my tools at my job. but I peeked in and WOW the belt is cracked like crazy, glad I stopped driving when I did, im going to have lots of pics to show you all eventually,

but seeing how im doing the belt im going to do the valves also.

do you know a site where I can get torque specs and valve clearance specs?

my injectors don't leak but since im right here should I rebuild them?

Check that out, it's an online service manual. It has lots of information, including service specs to your valves!

And I'm not picking up what you're throwing down..what's wrong with your valve covers?
