got a few things done on the runner the past couple days. I got my BJ spacers installed installed new upper ball joints at the same time just the cheap autozone ones but they will do for now, I was honestly suprised at how good of shape the old ones were in but I had the new ones on had so I went ahead and installed them, also installed the procomp shocks I got with the spacers not the best but they will do for awhile.
I did the zuk mod I used the stock coils out of my 97, I cut 1 ring off the top for a couple reasons, toytech559 said when he did his this way he wound up with way more lift than I was looking for, even with cutting it down it still sits a little higher in yhe rear but I beleive I can match it up with a few turns on the T-bars.
I drove it down the road a ways today as well Im a little concerned, it feals like there is a serius drag similar to a brake draging but acts more like its in the drive train, it would almost drag it to a stop before I could shift gears. any ideas?
didnt take any pics of the install but heres a few of how its sitting now.

thanks for checking in and merry christmas everybody.

RIGHT ON, it's ROLLIN!!!!!!!!!! lol.

Sorry bout the drag-issue........ Hmmmmmmmm, ........... could it be the T-case or the hubs are hung up?? Couldn't be the gears you threw in, right? Sorry, that's not very happy Christmas thought provoking, lol.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, BUDDY!

thanks mark Im in the Hmmmmmmmm stage to man, feels like its in the front end but I havent changed the diff yet. I drove it a little more today and it seemed a little better, I stress a littletrying to think back and figure out if I mucked somthing up while doing the brake upgrade but not coming up with anything. But on a lighter note It felt great to drive this thing more than just around the yard, even with the slopy steering "that I had forgot about" the brakes that still need some work, among some other small issues that need attention. I GOT TO DRIVE MY RUNNER lol.

Hey glad to see you got quite a few things accomplished and got to take it for a spin. Glad to hear that. The body work looks great. I know it can be a different story when you are close to it, but you cant be to far off having it done.

Looks like some work on the one door and that could be the way it looks on my screen, but probably just small imperfections is all it looks like now.

As far as drag, I think it has to be brakes, transfer, or hubs. It has been sitting awhile, so maybe things will loosen a little after being driven.

Give your springs sometime to settle. When I did my Zuk mod, it was way higher in the back and now I really like the way ours sits and the ride. I would hold off on the torsion bars for a while and see how the springs go.

Congrats.. had to be a big boost driving it. I really think you are furhter along on this then what you may feel like you are. Cant be much getting it legal, paint, fenders and the small things still involved. Each little project at a time and you will have it whipped before you know it.

Congrats again!!!

Thanks terry I know I have a long way to go but I feel like Im finaly getting some where with this thing. I could have held off on the springs and spacers but I needed that wow that made a big diferance project and this did it.
The drag issue is a bit of a concern but I really think its a lot of sticky parts thats havent been forced to move together for a long time, or at least thats what Im telling myself LOL.

Not planning on bobing it or anything, this is turning into more of a restore with a few mods than the hard core wheeling rig I had started out to build. The final color is going to be yellow, door jams and interior will be painted as well or as much as I can get to with out a complete tear down its taking long enough as is LOL.

Getting the parts and getting the funds sometimes isnt quite so easy, that is sometimes an accomplishemnt in itself. Great score. It starting to look like a runner again. It is getting closer to getting on the road.

Great job.
