UPDATE: I assembled the truck and completed an EGR delete. I started the truck and the truck ran well with only a slightly high idle, but otherwise very good.

having a pretty serious issue with air in the brake lines. Put a new caliper and master and still have air in the lines

Fun build, Although you didn't make your $1k budget, at 1300 or so is not bad at all!

Looking forward to see what else you do to it

probably around $1600 now with random stuff but it is quite the cool littler truck for that. Turns heads everywhere

Totally forgot about this thread but here is the lowdown. The truck ran really good for about two months after the last update and then developed a very nasty top end knock. Tried a couple things to make sure it wasn’t just a loose pulley or dizzy but it ended up making me take off the head. And when I took off the head I saw that the middle cam retaining cap was broken into multiple pieces and the can lobe was about an inch smaller than it should have been. A lot of material got into the motor but luckily I think the oil filter did it’s job and prevented a lot of it from getting into the oil supply. But this required me to get my spare head I had from a parts motor and get a brand new camshaft for the truck. But to be honest I just kind of never really fell in love with the 22re pickup so I decided to take it to the scrap yard and as of last week she was crushed.
