A little update, drove down to Chico yesterday and picked up the motor along with my injectors. Engine looks AMAZING, definitely was worth the 2 month wait. hahaha

A few pictures of how she looks like, 22re Performance Stg. 2 engine

Haven't been on here in a while due to work and the holidays, but heres a little update. I just finished putting the motor into the truck. Still have to put on new header studs, header, connect all the vacuum lines, alternator and starter. Double checking everything as I go....

here are some pictures for you guys, cheers!

Heres how the engine looked before I threw her in.

Also threw in an OEM throwout bearing, OEM clutch, new flywheel, and Marlin Crawler pressure plate and flywheel bolts.

22re takes flight!!! haha

Sitting nice in her home

bonecollector: I'm not too sure about the color. lol It looks like some kind of mixed paint, I got the valve cover like this when I picked up the motor. I'll see if I can get an answer from Jim.

Wooooo finally got the engine started, timed and all that good stuff.
Had to retighten a couple clamps. I now have alot more appreciation for hose clamps. lol

Truck runs awesome, way more power than the extra cab I had.

Now Im having some trouble with an odd noise coming from the top end. It sounds LITERALLY like radio static?? I'm not too sure what this is. Like I said timing is set, truck runs perfect, doesnt overheat, has very good power, but this static noise??? I'm not sure what it is. Any help would be appreciated.

A little update, got the static noise taken care of. Turned out to be one of the air valves on top of the valve cover. Took off the plug and its compeletely silent for now. Just got done readjusting my idle because it was idling really funny when I would press the brake pedal. Thought it was brake booster at first, went to Carquest and bought a new booster, but before I did that, I adjusted the idle. I'm still going to put in the new booster though.
Took her for a quick spin and then later this evening.

UPDATE: Bought a set of KM2's today!! Yay! lol

Bought these tires from 4WP, got them mounted on the 'ol SR5s. Fits fairly well considering I have no lift in the front at all. So far havent seen or heard any signs of rubbage, but i am sure they will rub. Most likely will buy a set of spacers and do a little trimming. heres some pics:

Yessir! Mounted them on SR5's. Will be getting a set of 1.25 spacers from Inchworm Gear in a couple days. Right now the truck is sitting on a 2" rear shackle lift with the front being stock. Rear rubs the frame like crazy. lol

Hopefully the spacers will help. I didnt want new rims considering I love the look of the SR5's. lol

It looks great! I have the same size tires on my 94 ext cab only mine are km1's. I hammered my pinch weld flat and only rub at full turn when i hit a bump or if i hit a bump and compress the rear end pretty hard. Are you talking about wheel spacers or ball joint spacers? Wheel spacers wont help the front. But i bet you already knew that lol

GTB129YOTA: I oredered a set of wheel spacers for the truck because the rear tire was rubbing the frame when it tucked. Just got done installing the spacers earlier, and for the front, it also got spacers, but I trimmed the fenders a little and like you said pounded the crap out of the pinch welds just for peace of mind. haha

Oh I see ! I missed the part about your BACK wheels rubbing lol. How is the new engine? Did the tires hurt the performance terribly?

GTB129YOTA: haha no prob, the engine runs very good so far. Just recently started to drive it on the freeway. When it had 31's it had power! but now with the 33's its a little sluggish, not too bad. I only noticed power loss during first gear accelerations. I do plan on doing a gear swap though. Still debating on whether I should
4.56's or 4.88's. we shall see
