izzers88 sr5 build-up
alrite guys. heres the start. im building my 88 3vze toyota
from the back to front. im pretty smart about my truck an have ben wheelin with family an friends for awhile now.
im startin this thread to show off my beast an hopefully get some help from the great members of yotatech.
ill take any suggestions.
so far heres how its gone
since i purchased her ive broke an fixed many parts
starting in back, new 4.88 yukon gears
took off my old 35s an bought goodyear duratrac 33x12.50r15s.
a 3 in flowmaster muff only (temp to smog)
new procomp 9000 all the way around w a es2000 stabilizer
sitting on a 4in pro comp lift. ifs.
after a hectic run losing my brakes an having a untraceable air leak i decided to re do the system front to back
master cylnderhard lines down to calipers shoes the hole 9
next i had to do something with the slight engine rattle i had.
new belts, timing, thermostat, an tune up solved the problem til a trip to oceano dunes pismo cali. brang that back.
i decided to pull the motor an go for an overall rebuild
shortly after the teardown i found the ring in my sixth cylinder had walked its way around an left a mean gaulge in the block.
turns out my yota has been going long and strong with a dead clyinder an still handles bizness
long story, but here we are
a new block bored. then all new master kit
assembled. a few mor goodies
new powersterring pump, gear box, hard pressure lines
new radiator, all new vaccum lines
upper, lower rad hoses
water pump, oil pump.
new front end. tie rod ends,wheel seals, almost everything yu can think of. an thats wer yu guys come in
i have a list and recipts so i will add more parts as my thread goes but i would like comments on performance upgrades that have been ran on 3.0s that i can benift from.
this is basicly a new/rebuilt truck all the way around, b sides the exterior, im trying to build the best rig i can from a almost stock platform. for sure im going with a isr type intake and new exhuast system cat back. here after a bit.
so with that said any one out ther with a killin 3.0 4runnr or pick up let me know how you got your yota that way!?!?!
