help with front companion flange bolt pattern.

I had Wabfab do my SAS, but i didnt have a front driveshaft that would work.

I have since picking up my 88 v6 manual 4runner, i had to redrill the pinion flange, along with other small crap. Now that i wasted money trying to get the IFS driveshaft to work, I need some help. i sourced an 85 driveshaft and it will mate to the pinion flange but not to the tcase flange...

My question is if i go and source the tcase flange off the 85 4cyl manual truck will it mate to my v6 manual 88 tcase? also my tcase has bolts and the 85 has holes. also do i have to get another seal for the tcase? or just replace the crimp nut thing?

I (ass-u-me) that i can just press those studs out but am not sure.

google is not helping me with a "yes it will work forum topic"

No you don't need to replace the seal(but it's not a bad idea, since it's accessible). You should replace the nut(according to the FSM), but you could also reuse it with some red loctite(instead of restaking it).

Yes you can press out the studs.

No you can't swap the t-case flange. Yours is 30 spline(chain drive), gear drive t-cases are 27 spline.

You need to redrill the t-case flange you have.

Or buy one of these.

It's not exactly common knowledge...more like common sense.

Though I've restaked, and/or used just blue loctite on, many of those type of nuts without issues. But I'm not going to recommend doing either. Since I could be...how shall I say it...stupid...for doing either. Whatever...it's my truck...I do what I want with it.
