Got a little done before the lighting and thunder closed up shop.

My trusty tarp to shelter me from the rain.. NOT lighting.

Ewy, nasty, rusty spare tire mount, and body mount.

Right side body mount removed, and frame rail cleaned.I cut the frame off even with the shackle mount. -1-2"s~

Same as the right, Only not clean yet due to the lightning.

My plan is to remove the spare tire mount. I want to run a peace of box tube like Shawn did with his back bumper.

Thanks man. Your right, they do have alot of "tail". I cant tell you how many times it ended up bouncing off stuff in Harlan.

Thanks man. To be honest, I wasn't really a fan at 1st either, but after I saw a guy I wheel w/ bob his 4runner, I started to see how functional it was I went a head and did mine. My 4runner is FAST becoming a trailer queen. I don't need a all the bed space, and being able to back up another foot w/o smashing anything, will be nice.

Took the runner out at my dad's house this weekend and found some rocks to play on.

I also managed to kill my rear driveshaft. which works out because I just bought a used square driveshaft from a friend parting his truck out.

Yea, its pretty ˟˟˟˟'d. I think I will take the slip yoke off and cut the CV off and build another square tube shaft. I think the top turned out ok. I still have some glass work to do. Just been busy with some other bs.

Cool build. I'm not into bobing 4runners but still a nice bob. Before you carnaged ur driveshaft did you flip it? or did you have the tubeing portion of the shaft closest to the 3rd member?

I had a CV put on the driveshaft when I 1st sas'd it. The CV was up by the transfer case. I have seen drive shaft (w/o CVs) run in both direction. I don remember which was is "stock". I never had an issue with it before. The part that is bent was down by the 3rd.

Been a wile since I updated this. Nothing much to report, however I did get the Spartan locker installed with some used Nitro axle shafts. Besides that, It has been sitting for the last few months waiting for me to get some time to get out and play!

Made it out to Windrock TN last weekend for Seto 8. Lost a few teeth on my front ring and pinion. So no more 5.29s for me. I have 2 4.10 diffs tucked away just in case this happened.

A few changes that are coming, Im loosing all the A/C stuff, adding a few leafs to the front leaf pack, fix my rear shock mounts, and im putting my 14.50 boggers on 7.50 rims. Im tired of loosing a bead at low pressures.

Anyway, a few pics for those who cant read....

And my tow rig.

yep, Windrock is a cool place. We had alot of break downs in our group and only hit the trial right around rattle rock. I would say we only saw 3% of the place. I would like to go back and try it again for sure. However, its 7hrs from my house...
