First Build... Plenty of ideas, just need opinions and suggestions.

Hello everyone!
My names Will, im a college student at the University of Akron studying Mechanical Engineering Technology.

This summer im doing my first complete Toyota build. I came across a buddy thats selling all of his toyota parts as a whole for $1k. Hes got enough to build 2 trucks and about 3 motor.

My Ideas for the plan:
Frame: 1987 pick-up frame, thats been coated and ready for reassembly.
Body: 87 cab, rust free, sunroof, stockish inside, nice pioneer radio and 2 12"
Bed: future problem
Rear end: I want to make it a dually (i mean, common, how many toyota duallys do you see a day) any ways, are these axles any good? I have a lead on one for $300. Can i put a locker in it? what kind of gears should i run for DD highway use?
Motor: 1 of the motor im getting is a "Long Rod" block, so im told. whats that from, is it a 20r? my goal is to turbo it to squeeze more mpg out of her on 87oct. Suggestions on how to keep my budget low on the turboing yet keep it dependable?
Tranny: This is where everyones gonna start their hatred. I plan on using an auto tranny out of a 87 4runner that im getting for free. Im gonna have it rebuilt, and a shift kit put in it. Why you might ask? Well, because im lazy and dont feel like driving a standard every day lol.
Tires and suspension: Still up in the air. Im thinking of a SAS in the front, because ill have the axle, and that should give me the lift i need/want. No air bags or huge lifts, something moderate.

Any input would help. Ill have pics up soon of what im gettin.

Thanks, Will.

You want an off road dually that's locked for daily driving????
And the word turbo automatically makes it not cheap.

Other than that sounds interesting
