TBI is a good engine. But you know it really doesn't matter, we would supper charge either one. In your dream are you running full width tons or cutting them down. I chop mine, rotate the diff, then weld in the proper castor. Maybe next year it will come to life. Don't thin I'll link it though.

I just used Googles Sketchup...
http://sketchup.google.com/download/
It's a free and powerful tool and a lot less complicated than say 3DS Max or Maya... or AutoCAD for that matter. Does the job and doesnt have to steep a learning curve!
There are apps you can buy/download to make Sketchup even more powerful, i mean you can really use it to make complex and realistic 3D models/renders/lighting etc but it costs $ and the basic FREE program doesnt offer much for a RENDERING tool so all the pictures of my 3D model(s) are just screen captures edited in photoshop.

nothing too new,
Its on its third head now. ;( I think we're good for awhile... radiator is fairly new, hoses are new, new alternator, new exhaust manifold, plugs, new valve stem seals, timing chain, water pump is new enough... new temp gauge. Been chasing parts for years, gettin old!
new front brakes; rotors and pads.
Latest addition is a new IFS steering box which replaces my incredible worn out leaking IFS steering box lol IT had atleast 450 thousand miles on it, internally worn out, input shaft leaked like a civ and the pitman was cinched entirely up the splines and was lose. :/ Also added the P/S cooler line i never had before.
and the latest picture

Oh, also removed a rear leaf spring. Seems closer matches spring/rate wise to the front now, might even remove one more, not sure yet need more testing

New Yukon 8" 5.29 Gear Set for my rear Third.

It will replace my Trail Gear 5.29 gearset, which btw i DO NOT RECCOMEND TO ANYONE! They're loud and dont make proper gear contact (both my sets produce identical gear markings)
This is after 30k miles, the "highs" never wore down and I am done with the gear chatter.... It's absurd. The same pattern is observed on my front gear set... now in my rear axle till i rebuild this rear third with Yukons... blacklash opened up to 0.014" quiets the gears down considerably but still audible at highway speeds between accel/decel.. It's ridiculous. I would only possibly suggest TG for a front gear set or for a offroad toy only... but then ask yourself whats another $200 for QUALITY?

These patterns are speculated to be the reason for the gear chatter, as consulted by Zuk and a friend of mine experienced with 30 years in Gear setups.

The Drive Side pattern is OK. @0.014" backlash the contact favored the center more vs 0.008" which was strong on the heel but still acceptable. I'm going to still keep my FRONT third with the Trail-Gears as I havent noticed any problems yet (strength wise.. ie no damage and normal wear on the ring gear teeth).
Will also be installing an Aussie Locker in the front now, so the rig will be Aussie Front and Rear. While my Detroit TruTrac will go back to a rear application in my 85 ext cab SR5. Where it really belongs as it's an actual rear TruTrac. Still performed well IMO for the front despite not being a front model TruTrac
