Hey 92, thanks, man, don't worry about 'watching', lol....after all you've been through, I really appreciate your time and input, and I'm EXCITED FOR YOU, TOO MAN! As far as the 'BLING', haahaha, ....trust me, I know that all in all.....THE MAIN thing that matters is that it RUNS WELL, lol. I just figured, 'why the heck not, while I'm going through all this and waiting on parts and the block, etc." ya know? lol. Yours looks great, and I was meaning to ask........why does the lower intake and other things so different looking on your year 22re? I guess it's to fit different emissions things and such, right?

Hey Z, .....

I meant to add, ....it is so bad here in the South Bay, CA.(From Manhattan Bch to Long Beach on the Coast), that when I used to build hot rods, ....even though I was very respectful, careful, and never really ran any "illegal" mods or anything.....the cops ALWAYS pulled me over for being "too loud" or "too big of tires" or "no MUD FLAPS!!!", .....and a few times, they even insisted on me opening the hood. I was thinking, "oh yeah, he just wants to check out the 429", ...but NO, HE ACTUALLY WROTE ME UP "FOR NO SMOG EQUIP.!!!!"(plus too big of a tire-couple other things)........ON A 66GTA MERCURY COMET CAPRI!!!! I told him, ..."Ummmmmmm, I will beat this in court, sir....I don't have to have ANY SMOG, it's a 66"....and he laughed, walked back to his car, saying nothing, and DROVE OFF!, hahaha. I think he was an 'environwacko' of some sort. Not that I don't want to keep our planet nice, but C'MON.....'writing a ticket just to force me to go to court and fight it?????'

Here's that rig....I MISS IT MUCH! lol.........

HAHAHA.......A GHOST? Nah, in this case, it's what I refer to "POOR PHOTO STORAGE"! hahaha. They got wet, and I lost 20 photos, AT LEAST, of my 2 Chevelles(67-327 and 69 4bolt 350-4speed), 66GT/K Hypo 289 Mustang, 67GTA Mustang 390-Bored .40 over w/Paxton SC), and my BEAUTIFUL, mint, 36K origninal mile 70CST Blazer-350 4bolt Main 4speed, GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! I know I have more, and my mom has copies, but FINDING THEM? lol. Of course, now I'm determined to find them!!!! lol.

Ok, back to work on this thing for me. They're out for the day, so I have much of the afternoon....but NO CAR! LOL. I could tow it to the muffler shop, but I don't want to do the first start there, so I'd have to wait for it to be done and then tow it back! grrrrrr, lol. I need more time anyway, so it's ok, probably take it in tomorrow for exhaust.

GRRRRRRRRRR, the Exhaust Shop told me I'd be better off waiting till tomorrow morning! lol

S'all good, and actually, now I get the privilege of chewing on my fingernails all night.........I joke, I joke, I kid, I kid.....I can wait, and that's best, because the guys will be fresh @ 9am, ready to go on the Ruby Red! lol. I sent him a pic or two of the exhaust and the motor, and he said, "WHAT? THAT'S A 22RE? ....dang, you weren't screwing around!", hahaha. I told him, "NOPE, and not many of my comrades on YotaTech are messing around either!"

Oh well, guess I'll be posting this tomorrow. Any last minute advice on things I should double check?

SORRY SPEARO! Trust me, I'M KILLING ME, HERE! lol. Sometimes things just work out this way. I'm happy in one sense.......because when I was 16-20 age with one of my hotrods? I WOULD HAVE JUST WHEELED IT OUT AND FIRED IT UP, without any exhaust or anything, hahahaha. PATIENCE, ....something I NEVER had until about 32!

Anyway, again, sorry man! I guess I'ma go see Iron Man 2, tonight, instead of just sitting and biting my fingernails! lol

Those dam coppers!!! They are the same here though. My dad has a '73 Bronco, with a 68 Mustang 302. He runs with the exhaust cutouts un-capped, no mirrors, no seatbelts, etc. They go to their way to pull us over, and complain about something. There is a pic of it on my build up thread. I like the Comet, and so does my dad. Looks like it was a blast.

there was a poster back in the 70's, that you comment reminded me of

where 2 vultures where sitting on a tree limb,
the poster read
PATIENCE my ass, I going to kill something

it will be worth it, but you know that

Haahaha, ...yeah, I KNOW those types, lol. In Redondo Beach, part of where I grew up, SO MANY of them are just looking out for the hood, ya know? They just HAVE to keep it civil for the Beach Front Folk...but many of them admired this Comet, plus every other rod I built up and sold. In fact, one of them was PISSSSSSSSSED that I sold my 67GTA 390 4spd. Fastback without offering it to him, first! lol. .....but yes, some are just UNHAPPY PEOPLE, with nothing better to do than harass the home-mechanic! lol. All in all, I'M GRATEFUL for them in Los Angeles, Z, .....NO SHEEZ! LOL.

Whatcha think? With all the plug wire and harness, etc., ??? In person, it doesn't seem to look as 'blingy' as someone said, .lol.. And, really, I WAS NOT going for 'flash', just longevity and organization from what I started with....and then, I guess I just got carried away! hahahaha.

GOOD ON YA ALL, I'll be HOPEFULLY firing her up, tomorrow! VERY cool, at least I think it is, having 2-22re's resurrected on the same couple of days? hehehe.

CONGRATZ, ONCE AGAIN, MR. 92........AKA J*#$Y, hahaa.

Hahahaha, yeah coops....I've seen that! Thanks btw, I'm a lil nervous, but WHAT GOOD WILL THAT DO, RIGHT? All in all, I'm just grateful that I've had all these guys on here, plus the patience and insistence that 'I......CANNNNNNNNN........DOOOOOOOOO..........THI SSSS!!!!!'

HAHA.
