i rather like the idea of the creepy stick to be able to do low 2wd! you'd need a custom boot to fit it inside the factory plastic surround making it like a factory option but thats too cool

the inside of the trany you drug out of PYP looks good did he say anything like it'd been hard used? it dont look it!

152 for the dual stick huh... TEMPTing...

I need to get ahold of Rory at RadDesigns or might go with FROR sticks....

Eric at Yotamasters has a truck that had had one of the Creepy sticks for years... never an issue. But Toyo got me lookin into it at least. The only way to have the sticks coming out of the Bethel like in or Irab does is 2 modify where they mount. Otherwise much of the console has to go. I would love Triple sticks but I don't think it's absolutely necessary for my application and it would require even further modification I'm sure. Not to mention those guys are back ordered quite a bit because of serious demand. I'm not saying I won't go that route I'm just trying to figure out what I want to do pretty quickly. I pick up the transmission tomorrow, ready to go with all new bearings and what looks to be a fairly recently rebuilt unit.

Marlin Crawler, but of course they are out of stock, but probably worth the wait. Good news is their 4.7 gears are back in stock; so get them while you can.

Nice bumper. You'll like yours a lot. I wanted the pointed stinger but they made a mistake. Now I'm glad they did. The square looks cleaner.

Hey guys, thanx! ... I appreciate the input on the twin stix... And of course the kind words about the bumper! I really like it, its a tank stopper for sure!

I need to go through Ian's pages on this again, I'm not sure I'm getting a grasp on what exactly he did in order to get the shifters for the transfer case to come out in the factory bezel location. I know that with twin sticks on a single transfer case you don't really change anything except for the fact that you would now need a dual slot boot, the rubber type, and then you can think up something for the leather portion that you cut out for that very boot.

.... However, whenever you go to dual cases, the rear case is where you place your shifters. And, well, that second case in the rear ends up being around 6 inches further back give or take from the original location. I can't deny that I am fairly OCD about my interior looking clean and stock.... But I really don't want to have to lose my console or move it dramatically back. Either way I would be losing the consoles front pocket unlikely the window buttons for the rear window would have to be relocated as well... It's not a deal breaker or anything, I'm just trying to think it out and I noticed that Ian was able to keep his in the stock location... With, I might add, what appears to have been quite a bit of work..... Eric at yotamasters does not do all those custom setups with crazy brackets and so forth... He simply makes room for the sticks to be further back do to dual cases. Honestly I don't really want to add that type of work to the picture for him... I'm already getting my trans back tomorrow. ... And I would have to run it over there during a very busy weekend and set up a time to meet with him when in reality I could most likely find time to do all this myself once I get the truck home. What I mean is...

... Once I get the truck home from the SAS I will pull my trans and install the new one with the transfer cases . First, the case I just got new bearings in will be the front case. It is stock 2.28 and in mint condition... That means I cannot do a 4.7 case until I get my other trans back... Or, what I could do is just let Eric pull my other trans and give him the new one kama then let him join up the redone trying to transfer case with a 23 spline dual case adapter and 23 spline 4.7 regear in what will be the rear case . His R&R on transmissions is around 300 or so... Not unreasonable really... But again it is money that could as I said before go toward LED lights or something like that. I'm just speaking out loud at this point, and I'm not going to make a decision that I will regret... I think one of those would be to just slap it all in and go single case and then regret it later because I will then have to redo my drive lines all over again.... When you go dual cases you dramatically shorten the rear driveshaft and increase the pinion angle which also requires shims for angle for the Leaf springs..... You also increase the length of the front drive shaft. All of this is doable... I just have to be able to do it? Lol

Here's what I was looking for! ....

2 choices beside Marlin....

http://www.davezoffroadperformance.c...e-shifter.html

http://radesignsproducts.com/site/0c...le_Sticks.html

I know Ian has a raddesigns one.... and I know they make NICE stuff....But, Rory, the owner, is saying that he's at least two weeks out... Honestly I can't even figure out how to make an order on that site. I will email him but I'm pretty sure that I will be going for Davez set up....

I promise you guys this is going to be absolutely sick! Lol. Well, Ian can already tell you how absolutely sick that setup is. Of course he has an R151F trans... But the W56 is a tough s.o.b and with mine, I've never seemed to have problems until the rear output seal goes bad and then the trans goes dry. I highly recommend everybody trucks the fluid level in the transfer case on occasions... Is a very easy way to tell if your output shaft seal on your transmission is leaking. I have opened the check and fill bolt on the transfer case and had over a quart of fluid come on out... One time I think it was 1 and three-quarter courts... That is very little forward for a transmission of that size three operating on... Basically one quart if he even that. This time she is getting echo seals all around, and I should be a long time from any future leaks.

yeah, rory at radesigns is awesome. after a few emails, he set me up with a custom kit. the only thing is that it sticks up about half-an-inch, so you'll need to get a body lift, modify the tunnel, or modify the crossmember.

davez is probably good stuff, too, but i never heard anything back when i was looking for my custom setup. i know that you won't need any special modifications to make it fit in the tranny tunnel, though.

also: mark- here is the radesigns link (yours doesn't appear to be working for me) http://radesignsproducts.com/Triple_Sticks.html

I think i remember seeing some pictures of what guys have done when going dual t cases and i believe you only end up losing the pocket on your center console. kinda sucks loosing that convenient little pocket but then you have to think its one less place to allow junk to pile up. I will try and find that picture again mark
