I have a heavily trussed 83 axle it has the top truss and the ball gussets diff guard and a home built front truss that is tied into the spring mounts.

Yea that first shackle angle is pretty scary, especially since its still needs to settle in. Nice start though, keep it up and get it done. Another thing to get if you gonna keep it low is a steering box reinforcer thingy and move it for ward, whatever that steering box thing from Trail Gear is, can't wait to finally try and finish mine up too!

I have that box relocation plate its in the pix for the other shock hoop just no box on it i blended it in with the frame plate i didnt want a weld seam there

Great job on the swap man! Congratulations.
I have a quick question: was the frame reinforcement plates necessary? I've read a lot of SAS threads and most guys don't use them.

Well for those of you who are still lurking here waiting for me to get with it here is a update. I got the rear on and under and i made my own 12 volt guy style in cab winch control.
