Love the "Jerry Rig" fix, thats awesome!

 

Came across a 3.4 long block so cheap I couldn't pass it up.
Block, heads/cams, lower intake w/ fuel rail and injectors for 45 bux. Gonna tear it down and do a full rebuild. Not too bad I say.







My only concern so far is the guy had the cams removed with all the bits and pieces in a box. I have no clue on the order of the cam caps. Hopefully I can figure it out. Gotta strip it down and take it to the machine shop to see if the blown head gasket did any real damage.

 

Finally got to take the runner out to get dirty since i've bought it. Camped out at Ice House, CA for a few days. Nothing crazy, but had fun.

Scored some cool 15x10 wheels today. Came with some 35x12.5 on them. One is junk. I wanted to go with 33's and originally thought the 35's would be too much but damn if i'm not luvin it!! This was just for ˟˟˟˟s and giggles, tho. Now i'm thinking about looking for a decent used 35. My wife is gonna freak if she sees these in the driveway. lol

 

Does anybody know what kind of wheels these are just by the pics?

 

Picked up some 33x12.5 tires and installed my ball joint spacers.

 

Picked up a set of 15x7 3rd gen wheels. Big improvement over the stock one imo.

 

Starting to mock up the exhaust for the crossover delete mod on a spare motor. This is the drivers side flange of the crossover that will be the new passenger side downpipe. The passenger side flange will be used to block off the other side.

 

Passenger flange will be used as a block off plate. Just gotta chop the pipe and weld it up.

 

Well this sucks. Found a good deal on some manual hubs. My brother offered to drive an hour away to pick them up. Turns out the guy only had the hub faces and not the body. Now I'm stuck with them.

 

Keep em as spares.

Ended up scoring some hubs right down the street.

 

Picked up an 85 front axle for 200 a few weeks ago. Starting the clean up process.



Picked up a 4.56 v6 3rd for the front.

Took a break from grinding and cleaning the axle and put in some led tail and license plate bulbs.

 

Looks great! You still planning to drop that 3.4 in?

 

Definitely, but I think I'm gonna tackle the sas first then try to source a complete 3rd Gen 4runner or taco for the swap.

 

Took the 4runner out camping this weekend and got her a little dirty. Been too long.
