Here in WV the snow and the rain make great places to wheel. It makes it more challenging. My truck says challenge accepted. I have been out a few days this week during school, but I got in trouble for it, so I can't go out for a while. The truck will have a frown on its face when I see it after school for a week or two.

ok some overdue wheeling pictures as promised. Sorry they are late. I was very busy at work this week.

The SAS'd truck is awesome. it is locked front and rear. it was doing great until, it blew a hub and possibly have front locker problems. it was cold and there is still 2 to 3 feet of snow on the ground in places back on the trails....

Great pics! I love playing around in the snow. That is a really bad@$$ looking reg cab there.
So be honest.... How many times did you guys have to pull the stuck wrangler out? haha

well considering the wrangler is locked front and rear and is on 35s he didn't stuck too often. I got stuck 3 ft off the driveway and had to get pulled out. That is the funny thing with snow, if you guess wrong you are sunk. The wrangler guy works at a Toyota dealership and is a good guy.
Assyrian Rocker..... How close is South Bend, IN from where you are? This is about a mile from the South Bend Airport if that helps narrow it down. Not too far off of the 80/90 Toll Road. I will let you know next time we are going to play. We Try to go about once a month.

I will let you know next time we go wheeling. I will try to give you as much heads up as possible.
In other news: I picked up a whole new front end kit for 60 dollars from a buddy who has a spare parts truck. I got upper and lower ball joints, inner and outer tie rods, pitman arm and idler arm. All brand new, all in the packages!! he is the guy with the SAS and has no use for them. My front end has been getting a little loose lately, So I will try to get some time and get this done soon, I still need to replace my CV axles with the torn boots. GOing to be a whole new front end!

It was nice enough weather this weekend that I was able to get some work done outside and in the garage on my stable of Toyota vehicles. I got the 87 pretty well stripped down and ready to scrap or sell some other parts off of it. I sold the bed and mirrors for 200 dollars to a guy on Saturday morning. I then took off the good rims and tires and threw on a junk set. Im hoping the nice rims and tires will go on the wife FJ80 after an alignment.
On my truck I was able to give it a little more attention to the idle speed and timing specs. After talking to another guy on the AMMOffroad.COM forum I decided to set my timing at 6 degrees instead of so far advanced. My idle us at 650. I must say it does drive better and smoother.
Ammoffroad stands for All Makes Models. It is small but has some really knowledgeable people on it.
My truck has a good size oil leak somewhere and I can't find it. I thought it was the cam seals on the passenger side but I ruled that out this weekend as well. I will find it soon.
I also greased the doors and cleaned out the inside of my truck and the 80. I plan to put my bed box back in my truck soon to.
This morning I sent my wife and the 80 to the muffler shop to fix a leaky exhaust pipe and muffler. For 150 bucks they did a great job. I can never seem to get an exhaust system to be completely sealed. I always seem to have a leak somewhere. So for 150 I said go for it. Happy wife happy life
