Sorry I never saw this bro. Nothing fancy up front yet.. just down torsion springs and bj spacers... I'll be going the way of blazeland when funds permit it.

woo my alternator finally died! (sarcasm.)
I figured it was because my power steering pump was leaking onto it. I bought a rebuild kit from Toyota like 6 months ago.. and never felt the need to actually rebuild it.. until my alternator died. After spending an hour dumping degreaser into the alternator and forcing the pressure washer in there praying to fix it.. i accepted alternator defeat. Took it out and sent to my dad's buddy's place to get it rebuilt. Offered to vAMP (heheh) it up to 160 AMP for 130 bucks out the door. SO i took it apart, verified to brushes were worn to nothing, and gave the whole thing to him. Spent a good chunk of Saturday stumbling through an exploded view of the PS pump trying to match new o-rings to 25- year old o-rings that had turned square...
and finished early Sunday cause i got mad saturday and resorted to beer :p

Moral of the story.. or Morals...

new Alternator = holy crap I love my headlights
new PS pump = no more complaining about someone using PS fluid instead of DexronII/III ATF causing it to leak.
Optima battery that's been in the truck longer than I've owned it = capable of driving the truck for 3 days with the weakest/almost non existent alternator and still passing a load test after charging.

Lucky you. I been wanting to upgrade my alternator to a larger output one. Haven't found anyone that makes one for less than 150

PS pump is fun to rebuild once you done one. Matching up and having extra I ring is always fun. Did mine like 3 years ago

Dang thats pretty pricey. Is it a stock axle? If it's fixed up really crazy with trail armor, gears, and locker, then I'd say Hurry up and get on it man! Because Highsteer alone wouldn't cut it for me. What exactly comes in that deal?

I got my axle (although it looked like crap and needed to be restored it also included hysteer arms. 5.29 gears) and I got all that plus leaf springs and some extra sas stuff all for about $560.

Btw One way you can pay your friend if you don't have the cash on you is pay him through paypal person to person pay or whatever its called. I've done that once and the best part is that you can use your credit card to get charged on.

I see the confusion... Lol. I meant the offer of an axle has me wanting to save up for the entire SAS.. Haha I'm not sure after charging me $1300 for an axle I would be able to even imagine the word friend :p

I've been dead on this forum for the past few months because I picked up a new "hobby". My dad and I have been homebrewing beer, and it is the most delicious hobby to date :p
