I'm currently working on a 1989 4wd pickup as my project car. So far I had the rust removed and the truck repainted black among a lot of other upgrades. But I can't decide weither to replace the front chrome grille and bumper with black ones or stick with the chrome ones. Does anyone have any ideas on what is better looking?

 

I tried the rattle-canned de-chrome look when i was a teenager and the paint just chips off and reveals the chrome underneath. I'd leave it stock unless you can afford to do it right.

 

I am going to paint my car over with black raptoliner and all the chrome with metallic grey raptoliner. Look into raptoliner, it is a DIY product that I have seen first hand and like the quality!
