This is how it started out. The only picture that I have of it when I got it.

I have been debating it for a while now. Wasn't sure if I wanted to because I almost "done" with most of it for now.

It is in Russell County, Alabama. It belongs to my good friends and where I go hunting and to get away.

Finally got some work done on the truck.

Took out the interior and attempted to installed the vinyl floor. I managed to screw that up and ended up throwing it away.

While I had the carpet out I gave it a good cleaning. I could not believe the color of the water that was coming from it. It was nasty.

Once the carpet was done I started to put in the bucket seats that I got out of a 4Runner. The drivers side lined up correctly except for the front inside bolt. That was an easy fix since there was a hole already in the correct position. The passenger side was a different story. For some reason it just did not want to line up at all, so I just ended up using the original one I had since it was originally a split-bench. I also put on the seat covers that I got from Cabela's.

Once all that was done, I moved on to the center console and shifter knobs.
The console went in fairly easily and now I have some storage space. I also installed my new Boston Acoustic speakers in the dash, while I had everything torn apart. I am really happy with how it all turned out. I still need to do some more cleaning.

I also found a used Budbuilt skid plate on craigslist a while back for $160. FedEx managed to loose it for a couple of weeks and then it just showed up one day. I put it on for a test fit before I clean it up and slap some new paint on it. I had to install it in front of my bumper so the rear bolts would line up correctly.

I also started to put in my Autopal headlights, but they won't fit correctly. It seems as though the "lip" around the light is not thick enough for the bracket to secure them in place. I tightened them down as much as i could, but they just rattle around. I am not sure what I am going to do about that yet.

Thanks for the kind words. Progress has been slow lately.

Thinking a snorkel might come next.

Oh my, that's a pretty truck. Or a tough truck. You know, whichever you're going for!

Great build so far. Looking forward to any progress made!
