Hey everyone. I'm new to the site. After playing around on the internet it became very clear that this is the best site for all of us who have found ourselves obsessed with Toyotas! So here is why I'm here. I've been driving Toyotas since I could drive. Other than my first car being a five hundred horse power trans am that looked like NightRider. First Toyota was a 93 4wd 22re manual trans reg cab truck. Drove that thing into the ground, resurrected it with a new motor and ran it into the ground again! Even when I sold it I kept a camper shell I had, knowing that one day I would get another. I bought a new tundra in 04 and still have it. But I finally couldn't ignore the itch to be behind the wheel of a sluggish 4 cylinder with whining tires and a need to be on a trail more than the road. So after a lot of looking I found my (mid life crisis ) new toy! Its a 95 22re 4wd reg cab manual. Last year they made these things! I've ordered parts for the camper shell. After being put away for around 10 years it is in need. Other plans include tires, add a leaf (due to camper weight), torsion bars, timing chain w/ new guide and tensioner, water pump, oil pump while I'm in it, and ? Well let's see what the wallet says! Ha. I'll post some pics here soon. I should get the last of the parts in the mail in the next couple days. Wish me luck I'm not a mechanic! But at least I got some buddies who know more than me. If they get stumped I know I can get help here!
