got everything back together, adjusted the steering shaft, cut the top sleeve for the box, put in some power steering fluid, flushed the radiator and got a new headlight bulb. also got a new battery the other day, got the brace back on got the brake lines set up on one side

the battery sits a little crooked from the body damage

Nice progress. Planning on welding on the steering brace?

yeah, I have to grind down the frame a little more first because there's a gap between the plate and the frame then I have to cut the bottom of the plate flush with the frame but it should be getting welded soon.

whats progress without a couple steps backwards, im pretty sure my vss went out because my speedometer didnt work when I moved it yesterday. I havent driven it in about a year, just started it and let it idle so I never noticed until yesterday. ill have to check tomorrow when I have time. also should be measuring for shocks tomorrow

got a lot more done than I expected today. got the shock hoops welded on, fj coils on and got the alignment to spec

when the leafs are maxed out the drag link tie rod just barely hits

I should be getting 12" bilsteins for the front and probably ranchos for the rear. I need to get a panhard drop bracket, front drive shaft.

it turns out my vss fell apart from the inside so im also going to have to get one of those most likely from marlin unless I can find one cheaper

I got my bilsteins on and took it for a drive. It was a little bouncy without the rear shocks but it's a lot better than it was. I'm probably gonna make a panhard drop bracket to save a little money. Also might get a new front bumper since the one I have is bent and doesn't let the headlight sit properly.

so I decided to buy the 4" drop barcket from 4crawler

the difference in the panhard bar angle is about 5", but I figure since the gas tank is empty, the coils were just installed and it hasn't been driven really, they will settle over time.

also I decided to use my old rear shocks for the time being, they're maxed out so the ride is kind of rough but I just want to get it driving as soon as possible

I got the drop bracket partially on today, you're supposed to drill a hole on the side of the mount on the body to bolt it on so it doesn't move but I couldn't find the right size drill bit. I don't think it will move without it though

since the bracket follows the angle of the original mount on the frame rather than being perpendicular to the axle it still pulls the axle to the side even more

The drop bracket will move. Get that last bolt in there.

I haven't updated in a while but since the last post I have gotten the last bolt for the panhard bracket in, got tabs, painted the frame and leaf springs and redid my brake lines.

I haven't been driving it because with the whole panhard bar mess, my coils got pulled to the side pretty badly and misaligned them with the rubber on the top. we were gonna throw it on the lift last weekend to fix them but didn't get around to it

finally got scrapped

they were out of Japanese specific hard lines at the local parts store so I just got ones that were the same size thread but they leaked so I had to redo them
