94 yota pick-up 22RE (Build Up Section)

Well i was out wheelin tonight and started climbing a hill. made one run up in first and almost made it. tried second run, went about half up the hill shifted to second and failed to make it again. at this point i noticed i have lost all brakes. thinking i had brakes i took truck out of gear. so as i started going down the hill side filled with trees thinking in my head" oh S*** OH S****". went about 40yards and slammed into a tree. demolishing my whole back frame as well as bending the drive shaft. i began my journey back home. thank god my trails are only right over the hill. i am now lefted with a mangled yota. i wanna do something like a "truggy" some will say. im not interested in 4 link just yet" no cash" although when i post pics alot will say it would probably be easier. i wanna do just a custom frame from mid cab back. i have stock suspension IFS. i wanna stick with that for now. but was wandering if anybody had any ideas on back half of frame. any ideas or pics will be helpfull. also somewhat new to forums so please bare with me.

By the looks of it, it would just be cheaper to buy a new rig an salvage what you can. But that's coming from a noob who doesn't have a cutter, welder or shop

Dont think the frame is supposed to look like that. just kidding, Doing a frame swap isnt bad at all. If interested I can post how I do it. I have to pull the motor and tranny and that is alot of the steps out of the way. Basically all you would have left is the 6 cab bolts, brake, clutch lines and parking brake line.

that was roling around my mind to do a frame swap but just got laid off so money is real tight. my buddy had a 2wd chevy with 8ft bed. he was scraping the truck so i cut off his frame behind the cab. unbotlted my rear end and his frame is a lil too wide. planes were too take bout three inches out and weld her back up and weld to my frame and reinforce it i throw some pics up here soon

well after a long two weekends of drinking to celebrate my birthday finally going get back to work on buggy. few things left to finish before shes trail ready! gonna start on welding frame to frame tomorrow. Im using chevy 63in springs so Im hoping it'll have some decent flex in the back(hopefully). Im going to try to make some type of flat bed after. i have tons of quad crate metal. various pieces of 1/8th in thick square tubing. ill throw some pictures up tomorrow after noon some time of the progress

Damn dude, hope you werent hurt, Yea they dont like runnung into trees atleast at higher speeds. My truck kicked outta gear one day (ALWAYS USE REVERSE WHEN PARKED) on a manual... and anyways my truck took off out of control down a alley bashing through my neighbors privacy fence and i chased it down almost jumping in the drivers door when in pinched me between the door and a walnut tree, then it hit a bigger walnut tree and stopped. But I fixed it, still drivin it.
