'91 pickup, yet to be named

Hey guys,

I've been a lurker for a bit, gleaning tons of info off this forum. picked up my '91 Pickup on July 3rd this year, 125k miles on the body, maybe 45k on the engine and transmission.

i have lots of fun ideas for things i want to do the truck, and places i want to go.

I'm in the process just replacing fluids and doing general maintenance to it before i go too crazy with it. maybe i'll even start a build thread!...

now for some pics

and the requisite dog tax:

that's Macey, the faithful co-pilot. til i can find a replacement. then she'll be cargo in the bed

quick rundown of specs:
'91 pickup single cab, short bed DLX
built september of 1990 (its older than me!)
built in japan, no. 592
Light Blue metallic (8D8)
125,462 miles at date of purchase
will be getting a full catalog of work done to the truck from PO shortly
engine rebuilt, transmission and t-case refreshed, and maybe new clutch and accompanying maintenance done around 85k (we'll see about that)
w56 5spd - feels amazing
oh, and no AC...it was a washington truck for most of its life...

Welcome!

You have a pretty clean truck!

You should be able to get a new 22R-E sticker at your local dealer for a few dollars.

Or you can get one from 22RE Performance: https://22reperformance.com/mounts-a...-sticker-6xwkx

I do not have a name for my truck. I simply call it "the truck".

old87,

Thanks! i hope to keep it that way while doing some tasteful upgrades over the next couple years.

thanks for the info, i'll give the dealership a call in the morning and see what they have on hand.
i'd love to do an sr5 cluster swap like you did, but its a bit away. first order of business is (are?) general maintenance items, and a deep clean of the engine bay and interior. i think i can have it looking basically brand new in the cab with some love and some new lightbulbs.

oh and the previous owner also installed a nice stereo system, but it needs some re-organizing to be done right (which is really the only way i like to do things)

can i get a mod to move this just one step back into the regular section? i didn't mean to post it in the build up section when this isn't one.

thanks
