This being my first post on yotatech, I feel entitled to first thank all the helpful posters who have helped me answer so many questions about my trucks already. Seeing as my winter project (1991 pickup) is in full effect I figured it would be a good idea to join the forum as I've found myself here very often lately. So to make it short and sweet, I have a daily driven 1990 rwd 22r pickup, and a 1991 3vslo 4x4, both 5speed. The 91 is my big project as it was the first vehicle I ever sat behind 10 years ago and has been our faithful farm truck since. Currently the truck is stripped to frame and I am working on a huge restoration to create an overland truck. Thought it would be cool to share some progress.... So far I have removed the cab and rebuilt the motor in a weekend. Next up, frame mods and re seal!
I'm excited to finally be part of yotatech. Untill next time!
As you might have guessed i am not a very internet active person, many many months later and the build is put together enough to have passed the salvage inspection and fully functional.
i had painted it with a roller, installed the seats from my BMW 3 series coupe, made a custom flat deck amongst many other things... i could go on for pages. the truck is amazing, many roadblocks along the way but its finally good! please message me with any questions you might have as ive touched every last bolt on the truck so there is a good chance i should have answers! il try and reply as fast as i can. here is some pics...
couple interesting mods i did to note as well..
20 gallon fuel tank from jeep xj (custom hanger)
BMW 3 series fuel filter (eliminates threaded hardlines)
rear window delete
ECGS needle bearing delete bushing (WORKED AMAZING! - NO MORE CV PLAY IN THE PINION)
manual locking hubs
Well done! I need more details on the flat bed. I am currently painting my truck in almost the same fashion as yours. Great minds think alike! Well done getting it road worthy
