Here's the interior one of the carpet before I took it out and another of the carpet removed from the back.

Noob question: How do you make the photos larger in the post?

If memory serves, you host the pictures on a image sharing site, like Photobucket, then copy the IMG code and paste it in your message.

And voila, picture in your message.

RobD, thanks for the photo advice. Great for new people, like myself.

English, looking forward to the updates. Am finishing off the 3.0L myself.

Got to spend some time on the 4Runner this weekend. Here is what got done:

1. Sound deadened the front section of the truck, from under the rear seats to the firewall.

2. Got the carpet cleaned up nice and re-installed.

3. Put the interior back together.

The front of the truck is much quieter, don't hear much road noise, I do hear noise from the back of the truck which has not been sound deadened yet, this will get done soon hopefully.

I was planning on running the wiring for the audio, but I cannot figure out what I want to do yet. Doesn't seem like many people on here have gotten in to the audio too much, besides throwing some speakers in. Any advice would be great. I have a set of 3 way Focal Polyglass speakers sitting in my garage that I pulled out of my VW. This set is a 6.5" mid bass, 4" mid driver and a tweeter. I have a Steg 02:02 and a 04:01, an Alpine type R sub and all the wiring. I still need a head, sound processor and a better sub. There just is no good place for speakers in this car.

Anyways, some pics below.

Some more pics, check out how clean the carpet came out, compare to my previous post with the dirty carpet. Yes, it is the same carpet.

Need some advice!!

Last week I noticed that one of the CV boots was torn. Decided it would be a good time to get new ones. The PO never really did any maintenance so lets assume that pretty much everything is bad in the front steering, drive suspension system. So far the following is what I will be doing, my question is what else should be done while I am in there?

CV half shafts (both sides)
Brake pads
Turn rotors (they don't seem too worn)
Wheel bearing kit (from Wab Fab)

My only goal here is to ensure that I don't keep pulling the wheel/hub assembly apart in the near future. Another note, I do plan on lifting the truck and staying with IFS. I would like to keep it to a 2-inch lift if I can squeeze some 35's in there.

I replaced the power steering pump over the weekend as it had leaked through 2 quarts in the last two weeks, decreased the engine bay after also.

I have the CV joints and brake pads, I just haven't started as I don't know what else I will have to do while in there. Still need help on this if anyone could chip in it on this it would be much appreciated.

I ordered a new windshield yesterday. The guy was supposed to show up this morning. I call at 11, he said 1pm. I called at 1:45, he said 2:45, I called at 5, he said 5:30. Called 4 more times between 5:30 and 5:45 as I was standing out in the rain after work waiting, he never showed up. I think I may need to find someone else.
