Belated congrats man. You have a beautiful truck, and wife...and the area you live in is awesome. I hope to find some good wheeling spots out here in WA.
Wow, that really sucks about your hesitation issues, I read through the whole thing and I didn't see if you had done this or not, but have you tried a different ECU. I mean, since you have messed with everything else pretty much, might as well right?
Definitely Subbed!

Yeah I tried swapping with an identical ECM didn't make a difference. I believe now that the temps sensor wires are mixed up. I took it to the Toyota dealer to see if they can diagnose it. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I haven't been on in a while, had this bundle of joy which has taken up a lot of my time. He is 10 months old now. Didn't take us long after getting married before the kiddo came along. I also figured out the hesitation issue with the 4runner. I had been pulling my hair out over the issue for years. I was also considering selling the 4runner during that time because there was no resolution to the issue until figuring it out last fall. Currently in the process of a SAS this April.

Some backpacking photos during the honeymoon. This is Desolation Wilderness in Lake Tahoe. Went backpacking for 3 days. We were almost struck by lightning on day 2 and there was also a wildfire nearby. This was August of 2014.

This is why you shouldn't buy a jeep. My brother got it for free from my uncle because it was running terribly. Its a early 2000 jeep Cherokee Loreado. I guess this is a common problem with them. A piece of the piston broke off and fell into the oil pan.

This was more troubleshooting for the hesitation issue. I added a larger gauge wire to the alternator. My brother fixed a wiring issue to one of the injectors. This didn't fix the problem.

This is the coolant temp sensor block that sits on the back of the upper intake manifold. The coolant temp sensor thinks the 4runner is cold, so its allowing the cold start injector to run. If you unplug the cold start injector, the hesitation issue disappeared. However, this cause the engine to run crappy.
