Thanks bud, and no.. I used a krylon primer but some enamel paint for the lights and skids. but I have a gut feeling that the paint on the lights isnt gonna last long once I get it out in the woods a few times.

Just wondering but do the leafs off a p/u work for a 4runner? Any info on that will help a lot

Well...I'm not sure, to be honest, and I've done some researching, but come up with very little.

I found a thread on here that may provide little assistance: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...runner-237278/

Also, I read on Wikipedia on the Toyota 4runner page, First Generation (1984-1989): "the rear springs were not upgraded to bear the additional weight from the rear seats and fiberglass top, these early models tended to suffer from a sagging rear suspension."

This leads me to believe that the first gen 4Runners used pickup springs. However, it is Wikipedia, so there is a possibility that it is all made up

Lol, it should be.. I have a bit of a problem with the skinny pedal. I was going 37 in a 25 and the cops have been getting complaints about speeders through that area which is unfortunately right next to my house and got busted. Lucky for me I got it deferred. But lucky for me the missed the beer in the back seat

Yea, I stopped getting tickets long time a go. But I keep it just a little above the limit. Problem is those low speed area that's when we get people complaining and the boss wants something done. Funny you can't keep everyone happy. Sometime we are fireman, putting fires out. Good luck

I totally feel you. I respect cops but sometimes the little senseless nitpicking changes my opinion of them. Yes my toyota is dirty but dont take my drivers license and scrape the mud of it. Police and fire fighters both are important.

So I have the oppurtunity to get my hands on a dana 44 front and rear axle for 200 bucks, not sure how the swap would go, anyone got any input on that? cuz i know the most common axles are yota axles. Would the swap be more difficult?

Another question for all you on here. Im sure it has been answered somewhere on here, but out of the threads that i have read so far i havent found a conclusive answer. My buddy today removed his front sway bar to help his flex but he hasnt had a chance to test the road manners since he doesnt have a transmission in it currently. I was wondering if this was a good or bad idea, i go wheeling roughly 2-3 times a month and nothing to intense, just some rocks and logs and lots of mud. But for the most part on road. would it be worth it to remove my front sway bar or would it become to tippy?
Thanks!

looks like a nice 4runner you in kenmore? i havent scene it around i live it bothell

and to answer that question in my opinion its not really worth it i took mine off and i dont really flex better because its an ifs and my bumpstops prevent me from any more travel. havent put it back on yet but its not to bad on the road.
now sfa are a differnt story i took mine off my 85 4runner and it was completly worth it. not much difference on the street and a huge differnce off road
