Hey 87hillbillyoter, what set up are you running in the rear? Are you using the Rough Country 4in block or lifted springs?

Right on. That's what I was thinking of doing. But we will see. Good luck on the over heating issues. I just replaced the seal on the water pump on my 22re and that fixed my leak and high temp issues

Thermostats are super super easy to replace if it's the 22re. I just did mine the other day. The hose that comes from the radiator to the block goes to a metal pipe that angles down towards the block. Undo the two bolts and the thermostat is literally right there pull the old one out and drop in the new one and bolt it back up. If it isn't a 22re I don't think it's much more complicated. Think it cost me $10 for the thermostat.
Its the same thing on the 22R.
Not hard at all.

Thermostat is like what...10 bucks?

Ive got money on the thermostat.

the dual-stage t-stats work great, too. they run about $30. i got one from a guy on here when mine got stuck open. it works great. heat in under 5 mins (in the winter(when my truck had a radiator(and coolant)))

Bubba, im here to tell you...Get ready.
Because it always seems that when one thing goes wrong...they all go wrong.

Im going through that rightttttttt nowwwwwww.

Try and slow charge it, its one of two things...Alternator (Which i just had to replace)
Or its just an old battery.

Hmmm...Yall do have some pretty bad A winters...

Do you have a warranty on the battery?

Take it to an autozone or something and they will run a diagnostics for free.

most cases if the battery will not charge after going mudding it will be the alternator (ask me how i know).

X2 this is why I carry a spare. Well I got a half a spare as of right now, because it needs to be "rebuilt". Probably just the brushes. But it's an OEM one and the one on my truck is an AZ one in which I have gone through 2 already. Not AZ fault though, but I do like my mud.

well im assuming its the battery because if the battery is completely dead i can jump it, run it for a while, and then shut it off and i will be able to start it for a while after i shut it off. i slow charged it last night and cleaned the terminals this morning ill see if its dead after i get outta here

Hey Bud!

Keep in mind...... AZ, etc., have been known to sell bad alternators..... and as Aaron asked, "ASK ME HOW I KNOW?!" hahaha. I went through 3 in one truck, then the 4th ran for 100K w/out issues. Even in this truck, that Kragen one took a dump in 5 months and the Napa/OEM parts one is working great. IT BETTER STAY THAT WAY, ...otherwise, it's time for the GM Alt. like Ian! hahaha.

I have always had bad luck with AZ alternators. There expensive but you ought to look into a Optima RedTop. best battery i have found so far. i got one in the shop thats 6 years old and his holds a solid charge

it was actually a napa alt. we dont have an AZ round these parts, lol. but, i cleaned my engine bay for a couple hours yesterday with some WD-40 and a paintbrush and a rag (saw it on here somewhere and it works!) and i cleaned the terminals up and the alternator real good, and my truck sat all night and started this morning so i think my battery is fine! well see how long it lasts though haha
