86 Runner
Hey guys, new to the forum. I have been looking for a while for a first gen runner, and finally found one that was worth picking up.
It is an 86 with 209 on the clock. Was once an automatic, but was swapped to manual. SAS done the wrong way, but only needs a hangar kit from Allpro to fix. Rear suspension is a 4 inch block under the stock spring, so that has to go. 3 inch body lift. 35 14.5 15 on aluminum 15x10 rims. 22re rebuilt at some point, runs great. Clutch is tight. I don't have a whole lot of history on the truck, but for 800 I consider it a steal.
My plans are to drop out the body lift and replace all springs with 5/6 lift leafs and new shocks. Also dual cases and re-gear the axles to accommodate the 35's. Will be a slow build, as I do not have much spare time due to a hectic work schedule. Looking forward to opinions as to which direction to go with springs and shocks for a good daily driver/weekend wheeler. Tear down starts tonight!
