So I picked up this 86 a few days ago going to do a complete overhaul on the body already got my Marlin 4.7s in and I got my 83 which the front end is totaled on had a few questions. What fenders hood and doors will fit on an 86? And for the sas can I use my suspension driveline and axle from my 83? Going to be making a flatbed for it coming up in the next few months and going to paint the truck as well. Thinking about putting a Dana 60 in the front possibly or my axle from my 83 just wondering what problems might come up and which would be an easier route to take.

 

Looks like a nice looking truck. Use hood and fenders from the 84-88 truck and 89 4Runner. I have not done a SAS but am sure you could use the 83s axle. I think the 83 had a different gear ratio so that is going to effect the rear ratio. Solid axles are narrower then IFS trucks (or vice versa, I forgot which) so you would have different tire widths. I am not the best information for a SAS but get you pointed in the right direction. Welcome to Yotatech.
