86 22re build to supercharger

My first attempt at a motor build didn’t go so hot. I told myself next time it will be better and with a supercharger. Those shouldn’t be touching

if you might have guessed. The thrust washers were either installed incorrectly, or I wasn’t getting enough oil pressure.
This build was a stroked stage 2 with parts from LC Engineering. I built it they didn’t. This was my first attempt at a motor build.
Since I had to replace everything and this didn’t quite get the power output I was hoping for. I decided to build a supercharged 22re. Again I did the motor work. But got help along the way. It’s not an easy bolt on job. There was some modifications I didn’t know I would have to do. But I like the way it turned out.

The motor now has
9.7:1 caprillo pistons
Pro stroker kit(h beam rods, dual chain conversion)
pro supercharged cylinder head with street turbo cam
440cc fuel injectors(tried 195cc but ran out of fuel)
big bore throttle body
camden supercharger(the kit from lc)
oil relocation kit with cooler
hal tech computer
flex fan
lce street header kit with 2 1/4”
I also changed the gearing to 4.88 to support the 33” tires
i also installed a 4.7 transfer case cause mine was leaking oil
I am sure there is more to add but that’s a good start

What it started as
After the lift kit before tires

some pictures during the build. It was interesting to figure out the issues.
When it was all done this is what I ended up with

Now that might not look like a lot of power but the previous motor ended up with 78hp. It was on a mustang dyno which doesn’t Sugarcoat power

If I'm reading your dyno sheet correctly, after all this work and expense you managed to make 20 fp of torque over stock and no horsepower gain at all.

This is whp. It does appear like there was no gain in doing the supercharger if you compare it to the numbers from stock. I am going to try and get the sheet from the last engine build I dynoed. That whp was 78 I believe.
Overall your right, it appears there isn't a major gain in hp but when driving you can tell there is a difference. Each dyno is different.

Tried my hand at gulches off road park today. Learned that there are some flaws with this build and clearances. Still learning

Was watching performance channel on YouTube. They compared different types of fans with dyno runs on each. No electric fan for obvious reason.

i had a problem with motor twisting in double low and throttle. Drilled out motor mount and ran a grade 8, 1/2" bolt through it. Should of tach welded nut as it loosens over time. Of course you can buy "bomb proof" motor mounts too.

I looked at the motor mounts. They seem intact. I put in a new radiator and drove home. Will look more tomorrow to try and figure out what failed. Hopefully it’s something simple.
