Hey yall, got a question about transfercase fluid. I bought 3 quarts of 75w90 GL-5 gear oil. I cant seem to find a definite answer of the amount i need. I have 2 service manuals, one says use 3.4 quarts, the other says use 18 pints, which is 9 quarts and i have read online that it takes 1.7 quarts. I believe the tranny and transfer case are out of a 1994 4 cyl pickup.
I put in almost 2 quarts and its coming out of the filler hole..
Any suggestions??

Alrighty, i guess it just takes 2 quarts! I am waiting on my driveline to be built. They cant seem to find the right size tubing for some reason so who knows how long that will take... Other than that and the steering stabilizer, she is ready to take for a test drive!!!

Well, i finally got my drive line back and took it for a test drive. It drives pretty good. The only thing is there is a slight vibration at like 40 mph when accelerating. Im sure its the drive line.. It is a solid one piece with no CV. Just the two stock u joints... Not sure how the vibration would be cured...
I also got my Spidertrax wheel spacers on and the steering stabilizer done..
Here is a few pics..

That nappy rear bumper will be replaced soon. Just not sure what i want to put on there....

Gotta couple questions... I measured the rear driveline angles how 4crawler says to measure top to top on the flanges and bottom to bottom and they are the same... So it shouldnt vibrate according to him. My u joints are good... I also noticed if i punch it in first gear, i can feel it vibrate..

One other thing, the drivers side of the truck is 1 inch lower than the pass. side.... Could it just be the springs are settling differently???

Thanks! I got the rear drive line at the shop getting a CV joint installed. Then i gotta shim the axle up.. Should cure my rear driveline vibes! The front has got me stumped though.

Amazing build man! A SASed 2wd!? Who would have thunk?? Looks BOSS....just get some 4wd fenders up front, k?

Quick ?s if you don't mind: What are the specs on the wheels & tires? You use trail gear's full ifs eliminator kit? You use wheel spacers? Did you use this:
