36x12.50 to big for IFS

I have a 1987 Toyota 4x4 with the stock ifs system. I have 5.29s and looking to get a set of 36x12.50 super swampers, I don't do much hardcore 4wheeling often but I live on a farm and have many aggressive mud holes and creek trails. iv read that's to big a tire on the ifs but I see 35, 36, 37, and 38s locally all the time so not sure if its true? Also iv got brand new cv axles and a Eaton truetrac front diff. just looking for some opinions

I'm running 35" tires on IFS and have no issues. I bounced it off a few rocks last weekend. Thought for sure a CV would break. Never broke a thing. When I buy new tires I'm going to 37's. Things wear out much faster but if you have any wheeling knowledge you should be fine.
