If anyone is interested in checking out a tried-and-true 3.0 to 3.4 swap in SE AZ they are welcome to contact me. I bought a 1992 3.0 5-spd quite a few years back, with a bad engine (spun rod bearings), and bought a junkyard 3.4 with 120k on it from a 1999 Tacoma. I swapped out the engines at my leisure and by myself and everything works--AC, cruise, etc. It always passes emissions and looks quite factory. I now have over 50k on this swap and have taken it to Mexico more times than I can remember and lots of other places. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere.

I can't recall everything I did to make it work well but could help someone I'm sure. My time might be a bit tight but I am in the midtown Tucson area not infrequently (I live far west). I've attached a photo of the swap, a bit muddy as we've had pretty good rain recently.
