3.0YotaKid's 88 4runner build up.

Start by going off this is my second toyota build first was 91 pickup 3.0 by the age of seventeen. I just traded my 91 for this 88 3.0 4runner sr5. Theirs 287k on the speedo. Was informed by the orginal owner was rebuilt shortly after 200k. It is a fairly strong engine pulls very well. Great response. Their was one down side those dang leaking valve cover gaskets. If any one like me out their are neat freaks on their engine and want the most reliabilty I had to dive into changing those horrible gaskets. Ther interior was fairly nice but wasnt to my standards I gutted the whole interior to replace the carpet as well as fix all the power options relays by cleaning them if not hard wire it. The previouse owner wired some alphine radar scanner into the hardness so im in the process of cutting it out as well as relocating my ecu into the dash and kick pannel relays and fusebox to the center console. Any input would be awesome. Enjoy guys.

I looked at your pics. Alot of your pics would almost pass as some of the pics in my 86 build. Will be looking forward to your build.

I tried to see if I could post some of your pics and I was unable to find any link that starts with [IMG....IMG] in Image shack. If it is there, I missed it. I would suggest opening a Photobucket account and it is the last link in a PB.

I posted a pic of my build. Hit the quote button and hit post reply below my post and you will see what the text of the picture will look like. That is what you will need to post to get your pictures up. Image Shack may have it, but I just was unable to find it.

Edited: I removed my pic so as not to hijack your thread. Like the color of your runner. One of my favs on the colors on these.

I like the color and stripes on yours, just looks great. Are those factory flares? I know they make Jungle flares and is something I eventually want to add.

I'm not sure if flares are factory. I didn't bother to ask. I'm assuming not cause the more I look at em. They have a shiner clear coat then the rest of the truck.

The flares are the bushwacker "extend-a-fender... Not TECHNICALLY made for the 4Runner, but apparently the Pickup ones work just fine!

Time for an update, Got the valve covers all back on. cleaned up the engine bay. New pcv valve. New Fuel pressure regulator steel braided lines. Fresh wraped wireing harness as well as wire tuck. Clean the inside of plenum as well as outside looks real good and cleaned most the carbon on the inside. but i do have a couple questions on a couple parts in the engine bay area. Whats the canaster passenger side against the firewall and the object mounted to the firewall directly above it?
