So I finally got around to dropping my tranny the other night and here are some pics of that whole incident. I took off the front wheels and since i'm not going to be reusing the old suspension, i set the truck right onto the hubs. Then, I placed my trusty creepy crawly right underneath the lower end of the bell housing. After I removed the rear wheels, I set the backside on the hubs as well. At this point i'm not to far from my creepy crawly so I let loose the crossmember and set her down. Lifted the frame back up in the air and rolled it right out from under the truck. Piece of cake. Now all I have left up front is the ugly IFS which is going away sunday. It was supposed to come off last sunday but we didn't have time to work so my buddy came over and we just evaluated the job. So 10am sunday morning we begin the extraction.

Fixed pics and new updates.

So were back on track with the 86. Sorry, I bought an 88 xtra cab in January as a DD and i've been messing around with it since. I have still been buying parts for this conversion and will begin building soon. Heres a few pics of what I have now and where I'm at.

First off, this is the 88 I bought. Its 4x4 5spd. BONE stock, no wires cut, never been 4wheel driven. Runs like a dream! I have done quite a bit to it but we'll save that for another thread. (link to be inserted here.) So these are before and after.

When I first got it:

Now:

On to the 86 now.
Here is my 4 link kit for the rear. Its from trail-gear obviously with that frame piece. I don't have any pics for it yet but I have the 3 link kit for the front to.

I also put in some work on my front axle housing. I removed all the old parts and took off the differential. I sandblasted it and cut off the old brackets and things.
