Yah, this seems to be a common frustrating source of oil leaks. Only place on the mine where there is a leak. I figured I'll live with it until there is another reason to get into the engine that far.

Either that or a magic wand

If you are just doing city/highway driving, I would recommend KYB shocks from OReilly's. As dropzone mentioned, our trucks have and are known for head gasket issues near cylinder 6 where it blows from. As long as you do not have water in your oil, filling up your coolant often or have white smoke coming from your tail pipe, then you should not have a HG issue.

A good set of headers will also help prolong or eliminate the HG issue for good. My HG blew on me back in January and I had to REBUILD my whole engine as a result.

Lastly regarding the erratic idle, it could be either bad/dirty injectors, a vacuum leak, dirty throttle body or a bad throttle sensor.

Check your vacuum hoses there's an assload of them on there, any one if them could have a hole or something and Itll make it do that

Thanks for the input i will have to check that out. Do you guys know of a nice push bar that will mount on this truck. I can get one custom made but i dont know where to mount it
