yet another setback, my old power steering box was leaking went ahead a got a new to me one. it was out of a 90 4runner. same length. about 11 inches top to bottom. even the pitman arm shafts is the same lenght.
now for the problem. the tie rod on the pitman arm hits the frame. it didnt do that before... and nothing has changed.. and ideas? i dont really feel like buying a drop pitman arm either

Have u tried changing the arms?? Maybe the four runner is a longer arm or maybe the mounting points are a little lower.. but did u turn the box with steering completely connected??

i have hysteer so the stock arm wont work with my setup, ended up flipping the tie rod barely clears. but works.

in other new drove my truck today. it was a great feeling been 5 weeks exactly

moms 4runner got totalled today.. looks like i may be parting that out. this should have happened before i bought my 3.4.. if anyone wants a 3.4 ,elocker . or anything else off a 2000 4runner i may be selling one soon

the truck is no longer my daily driver, ive replaced it with a 86 shelby z daytona... 2.2 turbo 5sp.
