Nice work! Awesome you have first gen 4runners in your wrecking yards.. On the west coast, they are like unicorns in wrecking yards cause they're never there! haha

Appreciate it guys! Yeah, this was the first one I had seen at my local yard in Jacksonville since, well, ever. I had been picking stuff off of a few second gens, but I pulled a lot of the good stuff off this 89 while I could. I was one of the first ones to pick at it, and came back for the trans, but someone had gotten to the shifter. I was able to find one on eBay for more than I wanted to pay, but since I paid half price for the trans/case (had a half off purchase), so I didn't mind as much. Got more pics, but having trouble with the app on my iPad and my iPhone.

Also replaced the back window to one that wasn't as scratched. Have since removed the decals/stickers.Name: F31D4537-039C-4996-B184-6CF8F978F0D0_zpse6hfzq4f.jpg

Also removed a leaf from each of the front packs, but the angle is still to steep to mount a drive shaft.Name: C3FA03F1-1F4F-4392-A8C4-DD584848EEAC_zpsblci8mqm.jpg

It rides pretty good now. I forgot to mention, before I took it down for the trans swap and other things, I had tried to align it using every method possible and it would still swerve to the right at any speed. I couldn't wrap my head around it and was about to lose my mind. My crossover steering wouldn't come in any closer cause I was out of threads, so I was sure the PO had just completely butchered this SAS. So finally one night I was just looking at some crossover set ups and then looked at a pic of mine and realized it was just connected all wrong. So I took the whole crossover steering apart, got everything as near toed in to 1/8" and tightened everything back up and now it's great. I was very pleased with the result. I had swapped out the Mickey Thompson MTZs for some used bfg all terrains, but they didn't balance well. I put the worst ones on the back and I think that's the cause off my vibration at 70+ mph, but I also think it's partially the driveshaft too. So once I can find a good d/s front the junkyard, I'll swap it and see if it helped. But other than that, the swap went good and it runs good!

Got my vent visors today, not a big mod, but an upgrade since it gets so hot here in SE Ga, and my windows aren't tinted yet. Need to keep the windows cracked, but random showers are bad here in the summer. So here they are!Name: 503EED3F-EFA2-43F4-A63B-8FBF5077B44F_zpsosm2vpw6.jpg

So I got 5 M/T classic Baja locks and 2 new BFG A/T's. Had 3 of the best ones put on with the 2 new ones and balanced. Now I have an actual spare for the rear carrier like I'm supposed to, and it rides soooooooo much better now. One of the old A/T's was bad and wanted like 2lbs when I originally had them mounted on the old wheels. But with that one gone the new ones balanced out well and look a lot better too!!Name: d6dc3c550e916447eecd0a773e816dea_zpsuqxxiyjb.jpg

OOooo nice wheels!

Did that rear bumper create that rear dent on the swingout?

Yeah, I had wondered what might have caused it before, but once I mounted the tire on it and saw where it could swing out o, that was the logical solution I came up with. So there apparently was a spare on it before I bought it, but it didn't come with it, just the dent....

Thanks jaxnoob! I'm just across the Ga line off exit 1. Jax just has junkyards that are somewhat close.
