Trail-gear Springs??

Trail-gear Springs??
I am new on this form and wondering what is exactly needed to be done for a trail-gear suspension. I've read people having trouble with properly doing this. I have a 83 yota, planning on getting 4" springs and shackles too, any advice would help a lot.
