Got an idea for the fuel cell mount that need some bent plate. So I made a quick press brake and tossed a 6" piece of 3/16 in it. Worked great

Got the frame tie in done, braced the receiver hitch in the rear (recovery point)

And tossed a drive shaft up to get an idea on what I have to do.... Gonna be tight. Only got about 24" or so ujoint center to ujoint center for the rear shaft. The Carrier bearing/pillow block will mount on the "blue" tube. The red tubes are support going from the lower link cross member up to the frame.

Also still trying to figure out how I want the lines to go for the rest of the tube.... What y'all think of this?

Spent some money today... Ordered a planetary reduction box from www.BehemothDrivetrain.com

When the internal cage was installed we removed the rear body mounts. Listining to the cab bounce off the cage gets real old real quick so I whipped this up. Still need to add a gusset.

Also did all the finish welding and finished the rear tube. I like the side profile but swap back and forth on the rear...

Lookin great. I like where the fuel cell is going to sit. Tucked in out of the way.

Really looks great and coming along nicely.

What kind of front springs are you going to go with?

Thanks, The cell will actually go up another inch or two. Trying to decide between putting it higher to protect it more or keep it lower for CG.

I'm gonna run either RUF's or TG 3" with a leaf or two removed.

I won the give away and now have $850 to spend with them to get this thing finished up. Thinking about doing a FJ front axle.....

So onto what got done today. I'm learning what they mean my "the last 10% of the build takes 90% of the time. Got my Fuel cell mocked up. Need to add gussets but I think it will work.

Didn't do too much today. Did some more finish welding, the GF came out to help, she stripped the interior out of the truck again and then helped cut the factory seat mounts out.

Then we started laying in the frame work for the seat mounts. She got a quick lesson in welding tacking the bars in before I full welded them.

A quick video of her heavy ass tack.

Anyhow, Got both bars in before time to go home. Heading out of town for the week to attend CDI school in Alabama so had to get home to pack.

Thanks y'all. Just trying to do the best I can, learning as I go and mostly pulling it out my ass. Stuff like this you just gotta dive in and hope for the best.

Started on my driveshafts today. Cut the original down to make my front section. Need to find another for the back piece. Going to run a carrier bearing on the crossmember.
