hey guys got the soft top done not much else (funds are short lol) i decided not to do side windows (for now) i can always take it back into my new upholestry friends and have them add some windows if need be as well as maybe adding a second layer of sunbrella (im not fretting that too much cuz for now i need to finish the interior panels and find a back seat (ive thought about ordering a corbeau being ill be doing corbeau up front with time. once all thats said and done with ill be moving to the rear suspension first as well as doing my rear bumper build all at once. its going to be very similar to Dirtco's 85 runner's rear bumper shackle mount setup being i hacked 14 in out lol, after that ill be doing my frt suspension, as well as sliders and ordering an addicted bumper being my homebrew is junk haha (sick and tired of fixing the pile of metal) then after that dual cases, custom d/s, then stuffing the frt axle with the 30's as well as chromo hub gears, and probably aussie locking it (i will have a detroit trutrac for sale) see what else oh ya brake upgrades, alternator upgrades, some motor mods, (intake swap, header, reroute exhaust (again) etc. then cage it, harnesses, and i think ill be done haha lol if it only it was as simple as typing it and cheap too lol. anyways now that my fingers are cramping i reckon you guys need a little toy porn. peace

na man i didnt have an industrial sewing machine so i had a local custom upholestry shop make it out of sunbrella fabric , total cost for the actual soft top was 324.95 metal material was 80 bucks and conumables cost me probably about 75-100 bucks, I did solid weld alot of stuff where i probably could have gotten by with strip welds, but i figured since i was welding it id just go ahead and do it all now and not have to go back later ya know but considering about 500 bucks for a custom top, cant complain at all heck if you were just building a soft top for a regular four runner id say you could probably do a can back look alike for around 5 - 600 bucks which is alot better than 1600.

Thanks pismo. I'm actually going to be doing more to the runner being it's warmed up and staying warm so I'll be doing the suspension pretty damn soon hopefully in the next month or so then hopefully I'll be ordering the cases or adapters (haven't made up my mind yet) then I'm gonna jump to caging it cuz I found a bad ass shop in Austin tx believe it or not
